First of all welcome to all ,I have a F1403RD LG washer dryer but the dryer has suddenly stopped heating up. At first I would get error DHE roughly on 19 minutes into a 30 minute dry only setting. After the error I replaced the dryer element and the Thermister dryer sensor the 2 prong job with parts from 4lg. I didn't replace the Thermostat in the metal dryer duct so could it possible be this? also, how do I test this ?.even after both replacement parts were installed It still doesn't heat up on dry but the DHE error doesn't appear anymore and it goes to the end of the dry only cycle as normal but cold. I also took the plastic vent dryer duct off the back of th…

I have a Miele novotronic W807 (20 years without problem) yesterday started to make me this: Starts washing, draws water, it starts the main wash which takes too long (almost double time than ago) and when it's to go to the next step (rinse) crashes and then begins flashing the light of main wash(hauptwasche). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWdLHmf ... e=youtu.be1. If i leave it so, the light blinks and then after half an hour, the machine proceeds to the next step (rinse) lamp lights for rinsing, but the light of the main wash keeps flashing and the machine completes normally all subsequent stages (rinsing, wringing, emptying).2. If I close the laundry once stuck the li…

My machine won't run. It starts off OK, adds a little bit of water and after about 10 seconds it stops and flashes 4 lights, lock, delay timer, easy iron and 1200-600. I've checked the load, the water, turned the power off for 40 seconds as per troubleshooting instructions. The only thing that's happened since it was working perfectly happily is that I switched it off at the mains while I was away. It is, very inconveniently, Easter, and Indesit don't answer phones until Tuesday. Has anyone got an idea as to how I can stop this idiocy and get some washing done? Thanks.

I have a Whirpool AWZ 412 front-loading washer which 3 days ago has tripped the switch board (I wasn't there when this 1st happened). I came from work, found the wet clothing wet inside, and re-started it again. It tripped after filling, but (I believe) before tumbling -- there was a bright spark, and the thing was left locked and filled with water. Removed the cover and looked underneath -- there was a bit of black dusting on the motor wires, but not clear if this is the charring or worn belt dust, i.e. no obvious suspects. I then tried to watch it trip in real-time, to see where the spark would come from, but now it won't do anything: no filling, and no relays switching…

Hi there I've hunted high and low for any possible solution to this issue, including the FAQ here, but no joy. The washer dryer is working absolutely fine in itself, but when you turn the dial to the off position, there is still a couple of lights on the LCD display that remain on even when it's turned off. They only disappear when the machine is switched off at the mains. My girlfriend can hear a high pitched hum when it's in the off position but I can't hear anything (no huge surprise). I've contacted Hoover but the barrage of offers for warranty etc all suggests a potential fix would come at a hefty price. Before I go down that route, I wanted to see if …

The belt came off my WD64 and this took out the wiring around the mains filter that managed to wrap the Green/Brown wire off the mains filter around the pulley. The next bit is all my fault because I made an assumption and didn't look properly in poor light. The other end of the wire had been pulled off the mains push button switch and I had to remove the timer to find it, in doing so I assumed the plastic plugs connected to the timer will only fit in their respective places so I didn't notice that the top two blue plugs are interchangeable. One blue plug has all white wires to it and the other has all black wires. There was a big flash/bang when I turned on the machine a…

Hi! I've read through the guide pinned at the top and posts from some other people who seem to be having similar problems, but so far no luck. We had a very unnerving experience plugging in a very old stove yesterday, which promptly proceeded to explode (in, admittedly, spectacular fashion). The salient bit is that we turned off all the switches in the fuse box, and our Indesit IWDC was mid-wash at the time. Everything else has gone back to soldiering on, but the washer dryer is not just totally dead. No lights, no nothing. The outlet it's plugged into works fine (we plugged in a lamp to check), and the fuse in the washer dryer plug is fine (we replaced it to be…

Hello Guys This machine is Hotpoint Aquarius WDL540P All horizontal lights are flashing. In attempting to solve it I have checked the pump/filter for blockage, twice. The machine switches ON and water goes into the soap box. But for the time it was running, it does not seem to be enough water when I disconnected the drain hose. When switched ON I timed it, and it runs for One Minute, then Super Wash, Extra Rinse, Mini Load, Slow Spin lights all begin to flash. The Wash Basket symbol and the Door Lock lights remain steady. Any ideas, please. Thanks for any help. Satker Read more: https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/power-but-no-lights.480153/…

I have a Hoover DYN 8144 D1X washer that has suddenly got no power. Have tried the basic fixes in the troubleshooting guide, the fuse is fine and I have tried a different socket. I don't think it's the door lock or heater as the digital display does not light up. Could anyone tell me if this model has an internal switch/fuse that could be at fault? Or any other ideas please?

Hi, i have a Bosch washing machine WAQ283S1GB purchased in December. In Feb we had an issue with the concrete weight that had broken. Bosch repaired it. 2 washes after repair a bra got stuck in door seal and ripped it. Machine was not overloaded. Bosch replaced the seal. now another bra (which was in a protective bag) has caught and damaged the door seal (although not ripped it as not underwire part). Again the machine was not overloaded. Washed at 40 degree 2 1/2 hour cycle with 1400 spin. Same bra wages in same cycle many times previously. Wondering if this is something I have done wrong? Or whether damage done internally to the machine when concrete wei…

I just changed the bearings on my washing machine. Have done it before with no problems. This time, however I've hit a snag. When taken wires and plugs off, I take note of their position and colour. When putting everything back I've found one plug with three wires black/white/white. One end goes to the door the other to somewhere on the control panel. the other plug is black/grey and goes to somewhere on control panel. Would any one out there know where on the panel these plugs go or have copy of a diagram Many thanks, Hugh.

Hi Guys, New to the forum, I hope someone can help. We have recently bought an apartment which has a relatively old machine, a BlueSky BLF 1009/1 which stopped draining. Usually I open the bottom trap and remove a sock and all works fine. This time the trap was empty. I put the machine carefully on it's side and remove the pip going to the trap and found a sock. Replaced the jubilee clip put the machine upright and felt rather pleased with myself. Bad news. It now wont even start. I am just getting 3 lights flashing on the front of the unit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeUXmVy4lyY I have managed to find online manuals for the machine, but t…

Hi, I need a new machine as my 23 year old Zanussi washer-drier has just given up the ghost.. I'm trying to find a current model that may have a decent service life; looking through many articles it appears all the cheaper makes now use sealed tubs and only some ranges of such makes as Bosch may still have serviceable bearings. I have looked everywhere I can think of for info and tried to research spare parts, but I cannot find anyone listing either bearings or tub units for the WVG30461GB - most sites don't list any models starting WVG3. Does anyone know if this model is serviceable, or can you recommend any other make/model of washer dr…

Hi all, just want to say thanks in advance for your help!! I have a LG wm2016cw front load washer, it went out of balance big time and found out it was a broken spider arm, so I replace the spider arm and while I was at it I also bought and replaced all new shocks, springs and door boot. It still goes out of balance, have no idea why. It sits on anti-vibration rubber feet I bought.. Is that a bad idea??? Was thinking of taking them off, thought maybe that's the problem, also was thinking of getting 3/4 inch plywood to put under it floor is a little spongy?? I don't know what else I could replace in it. Thanks again for your time!!! Ron

I have a Sandstrom w/m and whatever water goes into the w/m drips out of the bottom. We opened the drain at the front bottom right hand to empty and when I put the wet towels in the w/m the water from them was dripping out of the bottom of the w/m. Any help or a diagnosis would be hugely appreciated as we've only had it about 3 years. Cheers guys.

On washing a large load of towels, I heard a loud noise on the spin cycle. Now the drum refuses to turn. I've had the back off, disconnected the drive belt & the drum is virtually seized. I can turn it slightly if I apply a huge amount of force to the pulley. Removing the large pulley showed the bearing, which looked OK (no metal fragments) but it's impossible to tell if it has seized or not without removing it. My machine is 18 years old & has been faultless up to now, but before I order a new machine (Bosch WAK28161GB I fancy), can anyone please advise if I've missed something simple? I'm certain it's not a bra underwire caught as that would be a s…

It is staying on its wash cycle (used up a cylinderful of hot water!), and the Start/Stop button has stopped working. (That is, when the power button is pressed, it goes straight into washing.) I have had the top panel off and the Start/Stop microswitch seems to operate okay. Now I am wondering if it is a failure in a timer or programming unit, or if it could be something to do with a sensor. It is an old machine, second-hand, but has worked superbly until now. I would be grateful for any advice on how to pinpoint the fault. The entire motherboard.looks easily replaceable so I wonder if they are available anywhere and not too costly.
