Hi, My hotpoint wmfug942p keeps tripping the RCD when it does a wash that heats the water. It works fine on a cold rinse. This leads me to believe that the fault is with the element. However when I measure the resistance of the element it reads 30 ohms, which would indicate that the element is not the problem. Any ideas on where to go from here? Thanks, Dave

Hi, I have a WW80J5555FW/EU, 2018-ish, that started having 'power loss' UC errors during washes. Then it wouldn't start any cycles - dC 'door' error every time. Weirdly I could get the drain pump to run by unplugging the water level sensor (at top of machine), but otherwise no activity. So I replaced the door interlock (£10 eBay) and the control board PCB (£55 eBay) - but no change... dC... dC... dC... On the eve of getting it taken away and replaced with a Bosch I decided to check the drain pump was functional and found its power connectors were loose, really wobbly, bearing in mind it's a 240V circuit. So I reseated those a few times and it instantly fixed …

Hello, We have an LG steam and tumble dryer. When the filter becomes full we get an error message UE and it stops midwash, we then have to manually drain the machine of water through a small tube for half an hour and rewash the clothes. Is there a way of knowing when the filter is nearly full before the wash starts?? Thanks!

Hi, I have recently bought a Hoover H-Wash 300 lite washing machine, I did all the required installation instructions, removed the 4 bolts holding the drum, levelled the feet but the machine still hops about violently when it is in spin mode, it is moving across the floor, any suggestions on how to stop this? Hi My Beko WDR8540121W power board has burned out. I was goint to order a replacement board: https://www.bekospares.co.uk/washing-machine/wdr8540121w-7161545600/power-card/product.pl?pid=5330457&path=110919&model_ref=14082846 But I thought I'd ask first about it here first. Would the board work straight out the box if I replaced it? Or would it need to be reprogramed? Beko are no help I tried calling them and emailing them and they just fobed me off, after almost burning my house down!

I have bought a washing machine drain pump from ebay and the prongs on it don't accurately match the little plug for them. However the prongs do have little holes in them. Is it safe to cut the two red wires from their plug and push them through the prongs of the new pump, twist them round, a bit like you do with speaker wire. I don't want to set the whole machine live and kill myself! This pic shows the new pump with the prongs. Thanks

Hi, I am hoping you can help me. Replaced the door lock as the machine would not start. But after replacing, it still would not start. I am almost certain its not the door, as if I connect the switch up, and push the switch as if the door was engaged it still doesn't start. I can measure power on the connector. Also if I short out pins 2 & 3 on the connector the machine works. I can also measure the coil on pins 1 & 3 with my ohm meter. At a bit of a loss as to what to check for now. Machine is working with the pins 2 & 3 shorted. But not ideal as the door can be opened with it washing! The picture shows both switches, the one …

I have looked at the FAQ and cant really find an answer to the issues I am having. I have a leaking machine and the engineer from Whirlpool is coming out for its 3rd "fix" on Tuesday. It only happens on the water fill about 40ish minutes into the wash, which my layman thoughts assume its coming from a different hose? it comes form the left hand side of the door where the detergent drawer is. The first engineer just checked the door seal, said it was ok and it must have been a freak happening- a pair of socks must of got balled or I had too much washing in it which "forced the door" he then proceed to sell me a years supply of cleaner and offered to replace the sea…

Hi all, My Miele washing machine isn't draining properly. The 'check drain' LED has been flashing and the cycle has not been able to complete. I have checked the under sink trap (clear) and also checked that the machine is able to drain from the drain filter access panel (it was). There were a couple of hair pins and a 5p coin in the drain filter area, which I've removed. The impeller IS spinning, but it sounds a bit....crackly?! What do you think?? Many, many thanks

We have an eco-bubble 8Kg model ww80K5410ww/eu which we have used for over a year. However, we have always had problems with towels. Having tried many different programmes, they always come out hard and stiff and they are gradually being ruined. Any advice would be welcome.

Hi all, I have a whirlpool WWDC9440 which keeps giving me an F06 fault. I have only recently changed the bushes and when I had it out the last time they still have plenty of meat on them. When it did it the last time I tested the continuity on the motor and it seemed good. The belt is fine. I am running out of things to check! Could it be anything else apart from the motor is knackered. It is six years old. Thanks

This is a hot point nswa843cwwuk (if I'm correct) washing machine. Its is now 3 month old, bought from AO. After about a month of usage, one day when we opened the door, we could smell ACRID RUBBER SMELL. We called out the engineer, who came out and he said that a cloth must have got caught between the drum and the rubber seal and that this was 'NORMAL' !! I questioned it but i didn't want to be too rude. I asked, what if it happens again and he said they might need to replace the rubber seal. 2 months down the road and the burning smell was kind of there, until another day it was smelling REALLY BAD again. We could even see rubber remnants onthe door seal and …

Hi, Our Logik L612WM13 stopped after a main wash with E60. I checked the motor and found that the brushes were virtually gone, so ordered and fitted new ones. Now the motor runs, but it is unable to complete a wash, seemingly unable to get to full spin speed, sometimes reporting E12, but mostly trying to get to full speed (speeding up and slowing down). When it seems to get to the point of full spin speed (it's going quite fast at this point, at around 9 mins to go) the machine shudders, there is an odd knocking/whooshing sound, then it slows, eventually going straight to 1min left. Sometimes it just sits there (at 12 mins) seemingly stuck trying to empty, but this may…

Hi, have been through the forum / FAQ and can't find much that matches this issue. hope you can help. Have a very frustrating fault with my washer - it's c. 7 years old, which seems young to me. Bearings recently failed and I replaced these with (I thought) no issues. Machine ran OK for a week or so, and then had door fail to lock which resulted in a cycle stopping half way full of water. Replaced the door lock. It then worked fine for another week or so, before failing in the same way - it only seems to fail on larger load (eg sheets or nappies) which suggests its an overload issue? Happens during the wash part of the cycle, but has no issues with a fast spin…

Dear all, 2 days ago I bought a new Bosch WGA242X4OE washing machine. I made necessary connections ( water, electricity and drain ). For the first start, I closed the door and choose drum clean programme. Right after pushing start ( heard a proper start sound ), locked the door ( i checked with my hand. the door properly closed&locked ). In 2-3 second machine unlocked the without any washing or water filling operation. And then i checked other programmes and so on, but no success. Machine doesn't work. I called the service, and they gave me 20th of March day the technician visit. Is there anybody who had such problem or bug ??

Hi all, I own a Haier HW100-B14636 for the past two years, which developed a bearing noise. On opening up the drum the inner bearing some how sustained a dent. So not able to find a bearing kit I had to order the parts separately. I compared the old and new parts which all appeared to be bang on. Items ordered where the inner and outer bearing and also the inner seal. Having assembled the machine I noticed that between the drum and the rubber seal, is a gap which I thought to be bigger than before the repair. I ignored it but then when using the machine my toddler's sock and a hair band got stuck in the pump area. I cleared this from the bottom front assess drai…

Hi all I have a Miele W5780 which is only about 6 years old. Yesterday the machine started to make a quite loud clanking sound when spinning. Can someone please tell me, is this a bearing or shock absorber issue? I've attached a video to show the issue. Will add a picture in a subsequent post. washingmachine.mov

Hi guys, Thanks for any suggestions. If I run a program, the drum fills with water until the Rinse lights starts to blink. It then continues, stops blinking…. Various noises in the upper left.. then after about a minute from the start of the program – the machine then successfully empties the drum of water while displaying the “- - -” message in the display. The Rinse lights continues to blink. The pump is clearly working correctly There is nothing stuck to the pump itself to slow it down The filter is clean Water into the drum is working Soap dispenser is clean Water into the soap dispenser is working Water pump / evacu…

Dear Hoover washer experts, I’ve got an issue with a U.K. made Hoover Nextra Chronovision Awash 7,5 + 5 Family 1600 HNWF 6167 – 88M 31000796 0510 1252 LCE7, a combo washer dryer that I bought 16 years ago: 1 When starting the 90 degrees Celcius (90 C) cotton program, it simply turns off after the timer has arrived at a certain angle where the program starts. It is not possible to restart the washer in this position. 2 When starting the 60 C cotton program, the washer turns off at the same timer angle as for 90C, but turns on immediately thereafter, the timer rotates a tiny bit, turns off again, turns on again, rotates a tiny bit, etc. five times more, then …

We have a Bosch Classixx 6 washing machine that's done sterling service for the last seven years. We've never had a problem until yesterday when it started making a loud banging noise towards the end of the cycle and I noticed a leak. I think it is leaking from up near the detergent drawer. I took a photo but it's not great. The water pressure in the block of flats hasn't changed. My wife thought the drum was spinning oddly so I took a video of that too. It's not made any unusual noise before this, nor leaked, and it was washing a normal load. I ran it again on a quick wash, and it appeared to leak when the machine was filling. Any help or advice would be much apprec…
