Hi everyone! - I've an LG Washer Dryer, model F1480RD - Recently it started to stop mid-way through the drying cycle... it simply ends the selected programme before everything is dry, so we have to put it on twice to dry clothes, which is fine but with a newborn in the house, it's a bit annoying! It smells pretty hot too... So I took the top off, and unscrewed the cover for the heating element, and scraped out a big wad of fluff from the edges etc, but it's still stopping early. Also, I took a photo of the cover (both while on, and off so you can see the inside and outside) - it looks pretty burnt. Is that normal? Is it dangerous?? It seems to be washg clothes fine...…

This is my first time here. Thanks for everything in advance. So, I have a fairly old Bauknecht washing machine that is giving problems. I don't have a manual, I actually got the machine for free on FreeCycle. Problem 1: it's leaking water during the cycle, sometimes it causes a short circuit and the house power goes down. Problem 2: There's this noise that I suspect will be from the belt. I guess you know what I mean. Pretty much the same noise a car makes when there's a problem with one of its belts (refrigeration, etc) I am handy with tools and stuff, always was a tinkerer, but never dealt with a washing machine before. I wonder if I can do this maintenance mysel…

My Hoover washing machine is making an awful rumble noise whilst spinning and there is up and down play in the drum. I'm assuming bearings and possibly shaft. I have a 5 year guarantee which is still in date, (2.5 years old) and am told by Candy the call out charge is £119 for them to fix. If they determine that they 'can't' fix it the fee is non refundable. I have read about sealed drums and that on some machines the whole thing needs to be replaced etc. My question is 'is it generally possible to fix the bearing problem on these machines?' I obviously don't want to call them out under the parts guarantee if they tell me sorry it can't be fixed. I'm a fairly competen…

I have a LG Fuzzy Logic WF-T502th Top Loader that is suffering from a scrud problem, I've tried descalers, citric acid, vinegar to get ride of the brown flakes. I'm not trying to take the tub out to clean it but can't figure out what size socket I will need to remove the 'tub bolt' http://www.jordansmanuals.com/ServiceManuals%5CLG%5CWashing%5CWFT755TH%5CWF-T755TH%20Service%20Manual.pdf (Page 35) Has anyone any idea? Please see attached picture. About a year ago I had it replaced and now it has become blocked, probably by normal things like coins and shirt fasteners. Problem is as you may be able to see there is no valve to turn. Am I missing something really simple or was I being a bit simple when I trusted the repair guy as he's sold me one without a proper lid,,,, or even worse put it on backwards...? Please help .. Thanks ?

i have a hoover oph614 and over the last few days ive been plagued by various problems. First off: I am unable to cancel / reset a wash program. It doesnt work by holding the start /pause and it doesnt work if you turn it to off, when you turn the machine back on it just starts the last cycle you selected all over again. secondly: when it goes threw a program ( if i leave it to run after its done the above ) when it gets to the spin at the end of the cycle ( does everything else in the cycle normally) it starts to spin as normal then when it is about to go onto a faster spin it slows down and repeats the process all over again and continues to do so until you switch the…

Hi I have a 4 year old Hotpoint Ariston ARFX 145. Now I can't seem to change the program with the programme wheel. The machine works as good as new except for the wheel. Just one (default) programme works. I can change speed and temperature with the buttons. Is there something I han try to get it fixed or is it doomed? (Calling a repair man is too expensive, costs more than the machine is worth) Thanks in advance

Washing machine as above. It's started to leak from under the machine but strangely enough only on a mini 30 wash. All other wash cycles dont cause the machine to leak. It seems to be coming from the front of the machine from underneath. I was suspecting the door seal but now not so sure.

My Siemens washing which I had bought less than a year before is giving starting trouble. no error is displayed on the LEd display. After laoding the laundry and detergent etc. I close the door as usual and press start button. Nothing happens except a beep sound is produced and the start button continues blinking. No error is shown either. The engineer is telling it can be a problem with the door lock but I am not convinced with this reason. Though the machine is in warranty and the lock, if damaged, will be replaced free of cost, but I am uncomfortable in doing so. has anyone ever experienced such problem? Similar problem had occured in the past and then machine had star…

Hi, INDESIT 1WC6165 FIVE YEARS OLD Today the machine stopped and refused to work, If I select main wash it waits a few seconds then drum starts to revolve and water enters, for a few seconds. Then everything (drum/water) stops for about 3 seconds. After another 3 seconds it starts again, stops after another few seconds, then (another 3 seconds) starts again, another few seconds and it stops for good. Exactly the same thing happens on the rinse cycle........................and on the drain cycle. I have looked through your forum history and cannot find anything similar to this. Perhaps this particular problem may ring a bell with someone in the forum, if so would rea…

Second washing machine in a week, same problem. Washes Okay, fills up with water Okay, everything works as it should until it gets to rinse, takes forever to start filling, then stops, light blinks, and to press continue. What should be a half hour wash takes longer because I have to keep pressing the start button to continue the wash. Reset machine, water pressure Okay, but so slow to fill. But quick to fill on a wash. Design fault? Digital display. BEKO WMB71231B. never had a problem before with my two last machines, same place, nothing changed. So why problems with this one?

Hi, I have a Candy Grand Evo 1472D2-47 Washing machine. It has occasionally thrown up an E03 code but has always cleared after being drained & reset. We have now moved to Canada & would like to use the machine, we have a 240v supply but it's 60hz not 50hz. The machine won't drain, I've dismounted & checked the pressure switch & the pump. The pump spins fine when connected direct to the supply on the bench even though it says 50hz on it but won't pump when installed in the machine it just makes a grinding noise & pumps very weakly but just occasionally spins up & works like a champ for a few seconds. Is this a supply problem or pump on the way …

Hello. My first language is not English, please bear with me. I don't know if I am going to find the problem here but let me tell you that this forum is awesome anyway. There should be more like it. Here it goes. I have a Nikkei NK LB65E09. It has max 4 years (2009 label inside) It has known long periods of inactivity in a humid environment (80%) and only recently it's being used regularly. It is level (I cleaned the floor and adjusted its feet) it does not lean to any side trying to shake it. The belt is in tension and does not slip off. Th engine turns with my hand and the brushes are still quite long. I have studied the symptoms which are: No suspicious noises …

Hi. I have a Hotpoint Ultima Wmud843p which is around 18 months old, it was working fine until one day, nothing! When I put it on my normal programme, it just makes a clicking sound which I think is coming from the PCB. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, After resolving the drainage issues with the machine earlier this year, there is now possibly another issue. I say possibly as it doesn't seem to be causing an issue yet but I would like to prevent one. Yesterday I noticed that the drum does not sit it in the opening evenly any more and appears to be more to the right, I've had a look at the seal and it seems fine but now the drum rubs on the door seal when it spins. My first thought was a shock absorber had worn, but just wonder if there are any other suggestions? Many thanks

Hi, I have a Samsung WD8704RJD Washer/Dryer. It's displaying a 5E code which I've looked up and is the "not draining water" error. I manually drained the water. Ordered and fitted a new Samsung pump but unfortunately I still have the same problem with the same code. Is this now a problem with the main board or is there another way of testing this to see what the problem is? Not sure if it's worth spending more money on a new board. Thanks in advance, Nigel.

Hi, I have a hoover VHD8142-80, it was stoping towards the end of the wash with flashing led lights indicating heater element. This was not replaced and ignored about a year now. The machine now does not run after triggering off electric circuit breaker, once breaker turned on the machine was still on the cycle with nothing happening except when dial set to off door would open eventually. It was left to finish the cycle which took approx 24 hrs, but now when attempting to start, it sets a wash cycle with door locking but the door security light keeps flashing and the wash never begins, no drain pump sound, no motor spinning, just nothing apart form door locking. I de…

Hi As the title suggests, I was given a Beko WMC62W washing machine on Sunday (second hand), I have used it to complete the last few loads that needed doing over the past few days, yesterday I used the machine and all was fine, no leaks etcetera, today I have run 2 washes and have noticed the seal lip has discoloured but also that water seems to pool behind where the door bowl meets the seal and then it dribbles out from under the door, it only does this during the wash cycle too, which I thought was very odd! My parents have offered to buy me a new washer anyway if this cant be sorted but I'd like to know why its leaking and only during the wash so I can get a few mont…

Hello, I recently had the common issue with flashing LEDs. I purchased a replacement capacitor, followed someone's procedure for replacement and sure enough the flashing LED issue has gone. However, when I went to run a cycle, I can hear the door mechanically lock but for whatever reason the LED for "door locked" doesn't illuminate and the cycle doesn't start. After a period of time a door error message comes up on the display. Can I really have caused this by replacing the capacitor on the PCB, if so can I replace another component? What should I check for? I cannot believe the door lock is broken as before the flashing led issue, it was working ok. Any advice is ve…
