hollan467
Please see attached picture. About a year ago I had it replaced and now it has become blocked, probably by normal things like coins and shirt fasteners.Problem is as you may be able to see there is no valve to turn. Am I missing something really simple or was I being a bit simple when I trusted the repair guy as he's sold me one without a proper lid,,,, or even worse put it on backwards...?Please help .. Thanks ?

Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted September 12, 2014 Root Admin Report Share Posted September 12, 2014 That looks like part of the pump filter, which should screw out. It's not part of the pump. Need a repair or spare parts? Book a Repair | Buy appliance spares (Cheapest prices guaranteed) Warning: Read this before attempting any diy repairs. hollan467
Thanks for you reply and correcting the name of the part.... As you might be able to see there is no way of unscrewing it, nothing to hold onto? It even looks like it might be put in backwards or required a tool? Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted September 12, 2014 Root Admin Report Share Posted September 12, 2014 I've never seen anything like it, it looks like the front is either missing or it's been bodged in place from a different machine. I would get some pliers, show them into the centre and open them out so they can be used to try and unscrew it from the centre by catching on the two plastic lugs. If it won't come out I'd disconnect the machine from the mains and maybe the plumbing if the hoses aren't long enough and lay it over onto its front where I'd try to access the pump from underneath.
