NGT
Hi, I have a Samsung WD8704RJD Washer/Dryer. It's displaying a 5E code which I've looked up and is the "not draining water" error. I manually drained the water. Ordered and fitted a new Samsung pump but unfortunately I still have the same problem with the same code. Is this now a problem with the main board or is there another way of testing this to see what the problem is? Not sure if it's worth spending more money on a new board. Thanks in advance, Nigel. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 21, 2014 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 21, 2014 Hi. Guessing at parts wastes a lot of time and money as you've found. Whatever you do don't try a pcb, it's pretty unlikely to be the problem. The first thing to establish is, is the pump running? If it isn't then there's most likely a connection fault somewhere, if it is, then as it's a new pump the fault must be caused by a blockage somewhere - Check this article out, Can’t Find a Blockage But Washing Machine Still Not Draining Need a repair or spare parts?
