We have had this washing machine about three years and it's been okay but it has suddenly stopped heating the water. The machine carries out a cycle as normal and does not generate an error code. A Samsung authorised engineer has been and says the element is okay, and to be honest he was a bit flummoxed with the lack of an error code. His only suggestion is to change the PCB but no guarantee that it will solve the problem. Given that the cost of changing the PCB is halfway to a new machine it doesn't seem worth it. Any other suggestions as to what we could check/try first. What is experience of changing the PCB - worthwhile or an expensive risk? T…

Hi! Just wondering if anyone would know the part number required to make our Beko accept hot and cold feeds? There is a blanking plate ready for a hot feed, and internal workings would seem to indicate that it's happy to accept a second valve. The washing machine we removed had both and Beko clearly do hot and cold feeds but not in all countries, I guess its a UK thing. Thanks! stan

Hi, I need to find a replacement glass bowl for an Indesit 1196W. I can only find one ‘official’ one online at £65 each but wondered if there is any element of universal-fit between models or is it that one or nothing ? Any advice gratefully received, thanks, Andy

Hi guys, towards the end of a drying cycle the washing machine packed up, screen just flashes on/off. see video below. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJYE4ivbJoE I saw someone with a similar problem online where all the buttons were flashing (didn't have a screen) and it turned out to be some blown capacitors, I've checked mine and visually they seem ok to me. Any ideas?

Zanussi machine leaked from drawer, would not empty softener, and had E10 code. Drawer replaced but still leaked. Last few washes, no leak, no E10 code, but softener not taken. No obvious "gunk" in holes. One suggestion is low water pressure, but not clear why. Any other ideas much appreciated. Many thanks

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with this; my Hotpoint machine suddenly went totally dead and a repair guy decided it was the main controlling module. I found one (already programmed) on Ebay and went to install it but I made a classic mistake - although I marked all he connectors I didn't realize that on one side there were three connector strips on the PCB but only two plugs, and my marking wasn't precise enough. The small plugs are blue and red (maybe different on other units) , the blue is definitely on one side, but the red could fit both other connections, the set of tracks in the middle or the one at the other end (see attached pic). Unfortunately my marking is …

Hello I hope someone will be able to shed some light on this problem and help me out,, I`v followed a couple of diagnostic procedures but am now stuck, I have a INDESiT IWE 71451 B ECO UK washing machine approx. 8 years old that is tripping the circuit braker when used. Machine turns on and display lights up, close the washer door and it trips the RCD. disconnect the heating element and shut the door RCD is tripped, Heating element re-connected and motor disconnected, door closed, button pressed and machine starts a cycle and not tripping RCD. Removed motor, wired it up on the workbench first to 12volt battery and motor worked and secondly wired to the mains electric…

Hi everyone. You are probably unfamiliar with this brand, but my problem should be generic. When I choose some program, like 90 degrees, and press start, machine starts getting water, and after it gets water how much it should it starts spinning (like spinning that should be done at the end of a program in order to drain water from clothes), instead of doing it slowly in both ways like when it's washing clothes. What could be a problem? Right now there is no any error code, but before that there was one for clogged drain "pipe", which I have cleaned and now there is no error. Just to mention, when I choose drain only program, it works as it should, it drains …

Need some advice please ,we have a 3 year old Samsung Eco Bubble machine (£400 approx.) that went bang during its spin cycle. On investigation the belt motor that sits at the base of the plastic drum, has fallen off the plastic drum , and now sits an the kitchen floor with the drum belt. Turns out that the 4 mounting bolts that hold the motor casting to the plastic have all sheared and the plastic mounting points have all smashed to pieces .Machine is out of warranty (just) and the expected replies from Samsung are weve overloaded it and its not level. This is our first Samsung (and maybe our last) its not overloaded and very level too and we don't know if its econ…

Hi All, thanks in advance for your help. We have a Beko washing machine wtb1041r4w, when it is powered on at the socket there is an electrical noise, the washing machine cycles are not effected at all-no problems, my thoughts are relay of some sort! ? or some sort of electrical arcing which I would presume would trip the circuit breaker, any thought, thanks

I have a Beko WDIR7543101 Washer Dryer and have noticed over the last couple of weeks that the drying is less efficient (having to put it on for longer or additional cycles to get dry). Yesterday it stopped heating during the drying cycle altogether (washing stone cold). Today i did a wash cycle and the clothes felt colder than normal afterwards which makes me suspect there might be an issue with the water heating too. Having read some of the other posts and the advice guides on here (thanks, they're very helpful!) i understand that the water heating element is different to the drying element so i'm skeptical that these have both failed - it is more likely to be thermosta…

Good afternoon, Started a new thread as the topic is slightly different. Hope this is ok Dryer on washing machine is tripping. I've opened it up after after some investigation have found no water is running to condenser. I don't have my multi meter so swapped the plugs on the 3 way solenoid valve over so that the plug for the water inlet to washing machine was on the condenser side and ran it on a wash cycle which proved the valve is ok. Is there any condition that would stop voltage going to the condenser solenoid valve? Sensors ect? No errors are present on the machine and elements obviously heat up. Fan works correctly. Pump also runs. Ma…

I have a Miele washing machine, a W Classic. For over a year many of our clothes are coming out of the machine will dust, fibres and hairs on them. Miele won't help. I've tried hand washing but then it has to go in the machine to be spun...result was more dust etc. We've tried various types of cleaning the machine but nothing helps. Can you offer any advice please? Thanks.

This issue has been causing me a headache and already cost £60 call out for an engineer who simply said there is no fault. This left me a dispute with the company I booked the engineer with. Basically, my Eco Bubble makes a loud whirring noise just after the start of a cycle. Example. Daily Wash is for 1 hour 2 minutes, the noise will start at approx 58 minutes and run for about 10 minutes. As a general rule, we look after the machine. Descale regularly, run the eco drum clean each time it's requested and clear the filter. My investigations thus far: No noise when: - Spin only. - Rinse & spin. - On watering entering.…

I have a ZWD1262W. It works fine as a washing machine. However if I try to use the drying function it will initially work (run, air heats up etc) but where I set the drying time equal to or greater than 6 minutes then on count down the machine will stop and the led lights flash. When looking at the diagnostics it shows a control board fault. (If I set the drying time less than 6 minutes all is ok. The machine will also reset OK and function until again a drying time of more than 6 minutes is selected and on countdown the same fault occurs) I tried a new heater but this didn't make any difference (thought perhaps an earth fault). I have found a replacement pcb (…

Hi All, I have a Bosch Serie6 washer dryer and it is washing perfectly fine, but when it is drying it does not drain and the clothes then come out soaking wet. The filter isn't blocked and I've cleaned debris from the waste pipe, but really I wouldn't have thought this to be an issue as the washing cycles are draining fine. Any help or comments appreciated here!

I bought an Indesit washing machine brand new from AO last month. It was installed by them aswell. It spins violently and bangs around on the floor. I have since adjusted the feet and it sits level with no rocking but still shakes itself crazy. On an empty load, it spins quietly with no bother, it just cant tolerate clothes! The last machine was never an issue so it can't be the floor. AO are impossible to contact and their website says contact manufacturer if there is an issue. There are no transit bolts visible on the back and the drum does move side to side quite freely. What else can I do? I am tired of having to sit on the machine at 19 an…

Hi. This Washing Machine has decided to play up. It keeps changing settings all the time and we can't use the machine. I have tried all the usual turning off at mains etc without any luck. It's the LCD display red light that keeps changing time and other settings. It won't remain on one setting. If it's a repair person that is needed so be it. Probably cheaper to replace it. Kind regards Denn

(As Miele washer/dryers are rumoured to all use the same basic drying system, probably applies to other models too...) Had a Miele engineer come under warranty to replace pretty much all of the hot air ducting and suds container etc. etc. Seemed like a good guy, though did get distracted at one point. Anyways, on the few times I use the drying function, I noticed the following: - dryness levels seem reduced (items not coming out bone dry) - there is a heck of a lot of hot vapour coming out of the (closed) detergent drawer - the corners of the LCD display have started steaming up An amateur guess would be that maybe some part of the heating s…

Hi, first post - thanks in advance for any help given. Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place? I have Miele W5748. After a wash the fabric conditioner tray is left full with water. It's dispensing the fabric conditioner fine, but the residual water is not draining. I have removed the tray and thoroughly cleaned, and the outlet at the rear of the tray in the bottom left hand corner is clear. Today I have also cleared the nozzles on the roof of the compartment, but they didn't seem too clogged up. I have seen articles elsewhere that are non-specific to Miele and some mention that there should be a tube running from the tray. Mine doesn't have one - but don't …
