Beko WEY94P64EW - hot and cold feeds?

Hi!  Just wondering if anyone would know the part number required to make our Beko accept hot and cold feeds?  There is a blanking plate ready for a hot feed, and internal workings would seem to indicate that it's happy to accept a second valve.  The washing machine we removed had both and Beko clearly do hot and cold feeds but not in all countries, I guess its a UK thing.

Hi. I would think it isn’t possible. The programmer would also have to change to use the hot valve, and all of the wash cycles would need to change because cold fill wash cycles are different to hot and cold fill cycles. 
 

Manufacturers are likely to use the same cabinet for cold fill only and hot and cold fill because it would be too expensive to produce different ones. 
 

To be honest there are very few hot and cold fill washing machines and most manufacturers moved over to cold fill only at least 10 years ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if many of them never changed the main cabinet and just blanked off the hot valve hole.

The article also explains how even washers with a hot valve just don’t use it properly so for most people it’s a waste of time.

Also I can’t see anywhere on the soap dispenser to attach a hot fill hose.

Thanks for that!  Case (it would seem) closed.  Extremely thorough.  I thought perhaps the two tubes leading from the inlet valves related to hot and cold but clearly not.  In the Beko literature / manual is does mention that hot and cold feed models exist, so I have emailed Beko on the off chance they will have a swap out but I suspect not.

For many years there were no hot and cold washing machines but the public has not liked that. They’ve not understood that it’s potentially much better without them. I think manufacturers are slowly bringing them back but I’ve written extensively on the subject and all my information can be seen from the article I linked to and links within it. 
 

The vast majority of washing machines with a hot valve have always been dumb. It didn’t matter before because washers took in a lot of water for wash so hot water was always utilised. 
 

But not these days because washers hardly use any water. Basically a “dumb” hot and cold fill washing machine wastes hot water and does not actually use much of it at all due to long pipe runs causing cooling in the pipes and plumbing. So by the time most people’s hot water actually gets through into the machine it’s too late because the washer has taken enough water in already. 
 

In order to properly utilise a hot water supply washers need to be much more sophisticated and configurable but so far that’s not happening, most likely due to cost.
