Miele washer/dryer WT2780 display steaming up after engineer visit and more

Recommended Posts

(As Miele washer/dryers are rumoured to all use the same basic drying system, probably applies to other models too...)

Had a Miele engineer come under warranty to replace pretty much all of the hot air ducting and suds container etc. etc.  Seemed like a good guy, though did get distracted at one point.

Anyways, on the few times I use the drying function, I noticed the following:

- dryness levels seem reduced (items not coming out bone dry)

- there is a heck of a lot of hot vapour coming out of the (closed) detergent drawer

- the corners of the LCD display have started steaming up

An amateur guess would be that maybe some part of the heating system is either not sealed properly or is a*se about face...  but asking here as I don't fancy calling them out under warranty but being charged due to it 'being normal'

Think the guy also updated the machine's software via the IR Link.

Thanks.
