Tracy
I bought an Indesit washing machine brand new from AO last month. It was installed by them aswell. It spins violently and bangs around on the floor. I have since adjusted the feet and it sits level with no rocking but still shakes itself crazy. On an empty load, it spins quietly with no bother, it just cant tolerate clothes! The last machine was never an issue so it can't be the floor. AO are impossible to contact and their website says contact manufacturer if there is an issue. There are no transit bolts visible on the back and the drum does move side to side quite freely. What else can I do? I am tired of having to sit on the machine at 19 and 4 minutes to stop it killing itself !
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 29, 2021 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 29, 2021 Normally I’d instantly suspect transit packaging hasn’t been removed properly. If the drum can’t move up and down and side to side then the whole machine moves around instead. It’s unusual for a new washing machine to be faulty. I’d double check the transit packaging by checking the instructions on how to remove it in the manual (not necessarily at the beginning) and ensure it’s all been done properly. If it’s ok then if the machine is just sliding about then it’s not coping with the slippy floor. If it’s actually jumping around violently it may have a fault if you are sure you are putting in good full loads and it still does it in every wash. Need a repair or spare parts?
