rolloa145
Hi guys, towards the end of a drying cycle the washing machine packed up, screen just flashes on/off. see video below. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJYE4ivbJoE I saw someone with a similar problem online where all the buttons were flashing (didn't have a screen) and it turned out to be some blown capacitors, I've checked mine and visually they seem ok to me. Any ideas?
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted February 15, 2021 Root Admin Report Share Posted February 15, 2021 Aye I'd guess a problem with the main PCB and/or the Display PCB but appliance engineers don't usually fix those parts. They only come as a complete unit and no spares are sold for them. Anyone who manages to repair them usually has knowledge of the pcb parts and buys equivalent parts from electronic spares sites. rolloa145
I had the display screen replaced under warranty within the first year of ownership due to it playing up, but think this time it must be the main pcb then due to the buttons not working ? If i got an engineer out they would just replace the pcb then?
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted February 15, 2021 Root Admin Report Share Posted February 15, 2021 Hi. That’s historically what they do. Even if it’s a 50p resistor they just fit a complete board. Need a repair or spare parts? rolloa145
Thanks for your replies Andy. I will look into the electronic components to see if i can test any of them and find the problem, failing that i guess its new pcb time. but I'm not electronically minded so this is all new to me!
