Hi I have a Diplomat Washing Machine which is no longer spinning as fast as it used to ?? The machine washes, drum rotates, etc, and it spins - but clothes come out wetter than they used to ?? I checked the filter - cleaned out the debris - made no difference. The machine seems to have no problems draining. I understand that the model I have has an induction motor - so no carbon brushes. I was told that the electronic module might be defective. I purchased a refurbished electronic module which I switched for the existing module. With the refurbished module installed the machine would not even start ??? I switched back to the existing module and the same prob…

For about 3 years and on several occasions, some items of clothing have been damaged after a wash cycle on No 4 (not-fast coloureds). I have checked the washing machine thoroughly but could not find any defects other than a few coins in the water pump outlet. The last time this happened a woolen top had been sucked into the small drum holes, and tore when removed. Also I have noticed white residues on the clothes which we cannot explain as we use liquid washing agents. Any advice would be welcome.

I have a 4 year old hotpoint wm65 which has died. It was working fine until I moved it to clean underneath - when I put it on the next wash there was no action. My wife tells me that she has had to open and close the door to get it to operate recently. As the "door locked" light will not come on can I assume that the little mechanism for locking the door has malfunctioned and needs replacing?

I'm now convinced our Hoover HNWL 7146-80 (washer Dryer) - wont heat up water - and im beginning to think it never has done since day it was bought. While putting on a new door seal I decided to test my suspicions about the lack of hot water in the tub I have now had the machine on a number of hot washes but never get a live & neutral to the heater And never get a live at what I assume is the thermostat that's positioned on the back of the drum housing I have tried a variety of programmes but still no warmth in the tub Any suggestions welcome Ian

Hello all, My washer dryer has recently been giving a code of F13 and now it does spin or pump water out. I moved the appliance this morning and found this (first picture) on the floor underneath it and I think it came from here (other two pictures). I've been trying to identify it and have come up with two options, it's either this Hotpoint WDF740KUK Element Sensor but I think this fits in the back of the drum or this Hotpoint WDF740KUK Lens Temp. / Spin but there is no picture of it. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks Paul2013

The drum in my Hotpoint AQXGF149PIUK has dropped by about and inch when empty but around two inches when clothes inside. The inner metal drum is solid and does not move in the casing and no strange noises from the bearings. I have replaced the three tub assembly springs that hold it up and replaced the dampening legs underneath and still the same problem. Is there anything else that could cause this drop? Belt has slight movement if pushed inwards to test tension so not sure if this would cause it. There is no unusual noises but is slightly louder at full spin which I think because of the drop. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just recently the front display panel refused to light up to commence a wash cycle. I sourced a used replacement panel plus main PCB which were sold as in working order, in addition I fitted a new replacement door catch. The display panel now lights up and a wash program can be selected, however, the machine refuses to start up on any cycle. Can you advise what I could further do to get it going. Regards

Hi I have new Panasonic for a week now and i have noticed some annoying sound, almost like small Diesel generator kind of buzzing noise specially during the end of cycle, coming from bottom right corner flap to open where Pump Filter is located. It been like that since day 1 and i check filter etc . This noise goes for at least 5-6 min before the end of every cycle (when draining out). What do you think of this, is it normal? previously i had aeg for 6 years and never experienced such a noise I would like to hear your opinion on that Thanks

This machine although old has hardly been used and was working fine. The drum does not move during any cycle, I have cleared the filter at the bottom kick plate. I have checked the black hose on the bottom for blockages. I have removed the top and checked for bad connections from the control block I have checked that the motor cables are not lose. The belt is intact and I can manually turn the drum I don't know if the problem is the motor or the switch block or something else. The machine fills and empties and blows hot air. The switch/Dial does not turn automatically as it should, when I manually turn it slightly it starts the next phase of the cycle but without t…

Hi, Well posted a couple of times before and have always got out of jail so to speak but now I fear sadly for the worst. Washing machine starts ok on E cycle - colours@ 40 and ingests liquid no problem, mixes up liquid to get lather no problem and works for about 10 mins maybe 15 and then stops. TBH I am not sure/can't remember what the next cycle would be (ingest more hot or rinse) but all I get is that electrical hum of death which would stay like that for ever unless I move the dial round click by click until the machine finally responds to the spin cycle. Any ideas would be extremely welcome, as the old girl was working perfectly yesterday and has served me extreme…

I think i maybe posted this in n wrong forum so here goes again.....My machine - Zannussi zwf 1421 has become very noisy when on the spin and recently has stopped before the full cycle has finished and beeps (doesn't do this normally. If it does spin, it is making a lot of rattling/banging noises. Just noticed that the drum is difficult to turn by hand. The machine is about 7 years old. Any ideas as to what this is and whether it's worth getting repaired or not? Thanks.

Got a Hotpoint vision hd model vhd842. Machine starts to fill but then nothing happens and although I can get the machine to finally drain following power off and on. Same thing happens next time I run program. Apparently machine was struggling with spins and a burning smell has been reported by my wife. Whilst trying to get machine to drain I sometimes get flashing lights on timer saver/sensitive care/stain blaster and 15' led. Any help gratefully received!

Hi Ok, I thought I had fixed my Hotpoint washing machine but it turns out I have not. It stopped spinning during a cycle (although the cycle always completes) so I took the back off and noticed the belt had come off. Following the online video instruction I put the belt back on. I put a load in and tested it and it was working fine. Then part way through the cycle I heard a noise and it stopped spinning so I took the back off again and noticed the belt has come off again. So, rightly or wrongly, I thought maybe a new belt would help so I purchased one and when trying to put it on this time I could not because the wheel at the back of the drum will not turn to enable me…

sooo.... the turning dial on my washer cracked one day, and ended up basically breaking up bad enough so the whole entire knob / dial piece has came off.... leaving the metal rod exposed.....The rod will not budge or turn no matter what i use for leverage. So my question is , without new parts, is there anyway I can continue to use the machine (i.e. select a load size) without a replacement knob.

Hello It seems that during washing the WT2780 is noisier when rotating counter clock wise than clocwise. Clockwise is virtually silent, but counterclock wise produces a slight winy noise ... basically you can hear the motor ... Is that normal? Regards Massi
