Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted September 9, 2013 Root Admin Report Share Posted September 9, 2013 If it's a brand new machine nothing can be worn out, so unless you can see the belt off for some reason you'd need to let them look at it. Installation faults are the main cause of immediate washing machine faults but they are always based around not taking in water or not emptying rather than not spinning. If by any chance you've only tried it with small loads just check out this article in case - not spinning small loads/ This article may help too - Getting a faulty washing machine exchanged Need a repair or spare parts? Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted September 12, 2013 Root Admin Report Share Posted September 12, 2013 I wouldn't reject an appliance for such a minor issue. It's a lot of hassle for everyone concerned including yourself. They may well be able to refuse on the grounds it is disproportionately expensive to replace it for such a minor fault (which the Sale of goods Act allows). If on the other hand it fails again, I would be inclined to reject it then. Need a repair or spare parts?
