Baumatic BDI1485D4E integrated washer dryer not drying. I removed the top to get access to the heating bit of the machine. Ran the heating cycle but that bit remained cool (it says CAUTION HOT SURFACE). There are 2 connections next to the warning which have like a very small black button on them with 2 red cables coming off the spade connectors, I pushed both of them in and heard a click, I reseated the cables on that and noticed one was a bit black, like it had shorted, anyway when I started the drying cycle again it started heating, I could feel it. But after 5 mins it stopped heating again. Any ideas?

I'm not a plumber or electrician, but will always have a go at buying a part and replacing something that can be repaired. Advice needed here... I have a vintage Hotpoint First Edition 1000 that has served me well - over 20 years old. Great machine. Recently, a random knocking sound has been happening - occasionally before the spin cycle but mainly during the spin cycle - when it gets very loud. I removed the top and filmed it - the movement of the drum seems ok to me. Any idea what might be the problem from the experts here? I am in Leytonstone East London if anyone wants to quote me for a repair (if this is a particularly awkward job I can't do mys…

Hi, I have been having issues with my bosch series 8 washing machine WAWH8660. The machine kept beeping with error code 00 and 81. I replaced the idos tray which seemed to work for a while. Then a few days later the same error. I opened the top of the machine and can see some dust on the wiring harness. I cleaned this from the top as I was unable to work out how to get the cable out. I would like to take the blue harness out and clean with contact cleaner but does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

Hi, I am a very technical person but not a washing machine engineer, I have a Hotpoint BI WMHG 81484 UK washing machine which is a few years old and is used a lot. Just recently its started to be a lot louder when spinning make knocking noises, the washing machine is not hitting anything and does it with small and large loads as I thought it was getting overloaded. What is the most likly issue? Shock Absorbers, springs or belt? I want to order the spare parts but dont want to buy parts I dont need as I have a tight budget. Thanks Julian

Hello, I have a John Lewis 1417 machine that started to make a strange noise and then the drum stopped. The machine still 'works' in that I can select a programme it can fill and empty etc, it's just that when it gets to the bit where it actually needs to rotate to wash, it just doesn't. The drum is rotating if I push it round and it I have done some research and think perhaps it is the carbon brushes. I have taken the back off, remove the electrics and the 2 front motor bolts but cannot move the motor at all. All the videos I have watched seem to show a little pull and the motor is removed so I must be missing something! The machine isn't that old, can't be mor…

I have a Beko WDX8543130B Washer Dryer. It isn't working on the dryer setting at all. The washer part partly works. When put on a dry cycle it drains, spins then stops, the motor hums and it skips the dry cycle and finishes the whole program without drying anything. The motor still hums but does nothing. I've tried a new pump, pressure sensor and I've checked for blockages. I can't work out what it is. I've removed all the PCB boards and checked for damage and I can't see anything. Ive checked the wiring and I also can't see anything. Could anyone send me in the right direction?

I recently had an issue where my Saumsung Ecobubble (WD80J6410AX) was slowly filling up with water when turned off so I replaced the inlet valve with a new one from Aliexpress - see pic of the old one below. The model number is DC62-00214N. This fixed the issue however I now have a new one - 10 mins into the drying cycle it continuously lets water into the ducting and toward the condenser so the clothes get soaked in the drum. The washing machine intermittently pumps water away and cannot keep up with new cold water coming in which is presumably to cool the condenser. I'm not sure if the valve is to blame or if there is now a new problem. Does anyone know if the…

Hi I have just wasted 2 hours trying to get help for a hoover washing machine which seems to be called Clover as well. When you eventually find their technical contact phone number they answer after about 20 mins. The person who answers is not technical. I expected him to help me as a valued customer especially as I am an electrical engineet and in a position of recomending manufacturers all the time. I have an eror code E3 which means a blockage in the drainage system. I asked where this block might be and he said I am not an engineer. I asked for his manager at which point he started lying to me and eventually became the second employee in the technical elpline with n…

I've got a Beko washer dryer and it makes a grinding sound when I switch it on. Thing is, it seems to happen before the drum spins, and it doesn't seem to happen on every setting I use. I've had a chat with a couple of washing machine service people and both have said that if it's the bearings it's better to just get a new machine. Does this sound like it's worth getting looked at at least? Thanks for any help!

Hi, I'm trying to fix a washing machine which started to hum and on the next cycle died. I found that the fuse was blown on the main PCB. After replacing it and testing all components (e.g. resistance) there was no obvious problem. I've connected the machine with light bulbs in series to the PCB at the input where the fuse has tripped earlier and entered test mode. All is good until machine enters to test #6, which is spin check (agitation) according to this article: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00092622/. At this point the light bulbs light up for a fraction of second and the display disappears. (I can turn the machine back on afterwards.) I'm u…

For the past week, I’ve been experiencing an issue with my washing machine where it freezes exactly 35 seconds after being switched on, without showing any error code. Model details: WM16XMJ00P/01 Here, MJ00P is the model number and 01 indicates the generation. I purchased it around 2.5 years ago, which means the factory warranty has just expired. I’ve already tried the usual fixes, such as unplugging it for 24 hours and checking for any blockages, but with no success. Symptoms: The machine powers on normally and all controls initially work. You can select and start any programme. It fills with water and begin…

Hi all, Hoping someone could help with a problematic Beko WY124PT44MW inverter washing machine. Basically the machine will power on but the programmes will not work. Strangely enough when put on the cotton wash, the door will lock, drain pump will operate and then the programme will cease to progress any further. For any other programme the door will lock only and the drain pump will NOT operate. I put the machine into diagnostics mode and test will display on the lcd screen however the diagnostics mode will not show any error codes nor allow me to perform the diagnostics on the machine. The door lock appears to be working, the drain pump a…

Hi, I was doing cleaning of my washing machine and I pulled the drain hose out to drain water, but when I placed it back, it slipped through the hole behind the filter panel, I can't figure out how to open it up to place the hose through the hole. I would appreciate some help regarding it. Thank you very much!

Hi, I recently moved my washing machine out of storage after four years. It was working perfectly fine before it was put in storage. At first, it ran it on a cycle and it kept coming up with an E08 error. After much troubleshooting and spending a lot of time watching the different cycles like hawk, I have narrowed the problem down to the following: - the pump does not drain the water when the cycle hits the drain portion (there is no issue with filling the machine or the rinse portion of the cycle), - when it hits the drain portion, the pump makes a crackly noise. I have checked the impeller when this happens and it is spinning, - after pausing th…

I have a 7 year old LG Washer/Dryer that locked up during a wash cycle with an error code of “DE1” (Door Lock issue). Turned off the power to remove wash load, but now machine won’t switch on at all. Checked obvious things like mains fuse and power, but won’t power up at all. Model: W5J6AMOWW Product Code: F4J6TMW0WWC.ABWQWUK Looking (carefully) inside, there doesn't seem to be any fuses, other than in the mains power filter. Have checked that, but it seems good. I can't see any main PCB circuit other than built into the display/control panel. Does anyone have any experience with the LG machines? Is it worth just buying a new display/control PCB to…

My Bosch Bosch VarioPerfect Serie | 4 model WAN24001GB/19 washing machine has started to make rumbling noises when draining and has started to leave the laundry damp, so I am assuming that the drain pipes are blocked or the drain motor is failing. I have removed the fluff filter and there is no sign of objects or calcification. The pump vanes can be rotated by finger pressure and they give resistance and then flip rotate 1/8 turn or some such. I have watched a number of videos on accessing the water pump, but all of the Bosch models featured have had a kick panel, and there is no such thing on my washing machine. I have removed two screws around the fluff filt…

The washing machine performs all functions correctly but after the final spin and prior to drying cycle, about a cup full of water is discharged through the open end of the lower rubber condenser hose (item 32) into the bottom of the machine? There is no catchment so ultimately it ends up on the floor.

Hi, I noticed the kitchen getting very humid when using the dryer. It is still washing and drying clothes adequately. On inspection very hot air / steam is constantly venting from the short rubber vent pipe on the top of the blower manifold. I have cleaned out a lot of fibres from the plastic condenser through the top opening (beneath the fan) with a drain snake (dry from the top, wet from the bottom) but it hasn't helped. The pump appears clear. Grateful for suggestions as to what to try next, thanks.

I have a Zanussi washing machine, model number Z716WT83BI. Suddenly, it stopped showing any time for any of the washing options. Later, the machine just turns on and always shows a line for the reset option. When I try to change the mode and turn the dial a few times, it goes off automatically. The power supply seems fine, as the machine powers on and doesn’t trip the fuse board. The error code shows E91. As per Zanussi it is a communication errors and I powered from fudge board and from wall socket still no luck. Could you please guide me with this? Thanks WhatsApp Video 2025-08-20 at 01.44.29.mp4

Washing machine will not start due to this. No error code. Machine clicks 3 times attempting to lock but is then unsuccessful. Is there anything else I should be checking or is it time for a new machine? Thanks in advance
