Hello, I have a Hoover WDXPBH4117AI2/1 washer dryer, 11kg + 7kg. Ive had it for around 6 months, but now when I set it on dry, if I set it to dry for over half hour it washes the clothes instead, and if it’s 30 minute dry, they just turn and turn and come out still wet and cold. Someone please help? Thank you I’m advance

My 16 month old washer started leaking water when draining. I have found the fault, there is a small 1cm black pipe located where the internal drain outlet hose is secured to the rear of the washer. When the washer drains, water is pouring from this small pipe as well as exiting out of the normal drain hose. I suspect the pipe should have a bung / stopper at the end of it to stop water coming out but I do not know why the pipe is there in the first place. I would appreciate if anyone can shed some light as to it's function.

I have a 10yr old approx reconditioned Samsung washing machine. I just finished a 2 hr cycle and during it I could smell a faint electrical burning smell from it. It wasn't the plug that was ok. I let it finish the cycle and it seemed to perform normally. Just not sure if it's worth getting it checked over and repaired or simply buy a new one. Any advice gladly recd

Hi there, Our BEKO WMA510W Washing Machine has started making a weird high pitched noise. I've made a brief video demonstrating what I mean - I turn the drum manually to give an idea of this odd noise, but it's quite pronounced when the machine goes into it's fast end spin cycle. We're wondering if maybe the drum needs tightened or if this sounds like it means the machine is on its way out. I've asked BEKO about through Facebook, no reply yet. It would be great if you could have a look at the video and reply with any suggestions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0phFzFIfV4s Many thanks for your time.

Hi. i have SIEMENS I-DOS washing machine WM16S890.(8KG).(1 year+) suddenly the fabric softener doesn't go into the machine for the final spin,it just stays in the drawer. The set up of the i-dos 2(softener)is set as it should be:the dosage set on normal strength, and the basis dosage on 36ml(both set on manufacturer default)),and the i-dos 2 blue led is light.i noticed that when the moment of the softener to get into the machine come,it is shown on the screen and i see a flow of water gets out from up on the right(inside above the dispenser). So it seems that the water is get out from the right place but the softener is not . The softener is pumped by the softener pump…

Hi all, WD1435RD washer dryer combo, rated at 1400rpm spin, but only spins up to 800rpm (as reported when SPIN button held while spinning). I have the service manual and have entered service mode to test spin there, and it spins fine at 1400rpm from there, but not during a cycle or when set for spin only. Water level sensor frequency comes up as 255, manual says it needs to be above 248. As I expect it would not like to spin at full speed until the tub is completely empty. I generally do all my own repairs on this machine but this one has got me stumped. I suspect there is a sensor out of specs somewhere that's telling the main not to use full spin speed. I've also tested…

Hi, my daughter has a Beko WMB61631s which recently stopped spinning. I figured it was probably the brushes so removed the motor to check, the brushes were fine but there was quite a lot of carbon all over the motor and especially around the brushes and commutator, I cleaned this up, but it still didn’t spin, I then found the motor control pcb had blown, 2 tracks were burnt out on the back and I tested the rectifier and this was bad, I figured that maybe the carbon build up had caused this, I tested the motor with my test meter and there was no short circuit or anything, I purchased a used motor control pcb from eBay and fitted it, now the motor does spin, but litera…

I've got a Hotpoint WD420P, the mains lead has gone faulty so I've done a temporary replacement with replacement flex and a suitably rated chocolate block onto the last couple of inches of good flex. The machine is still out from its space in the kitchen as I'd not be happy leaving that 'bodge' as a permanent repair :) Unfortunately the filter does not have spade terminals on the incoming side, the flex goes straight in. I had a half-hearted attempt at opening it, is there a trick to getting these open or do I need to spend £30 on a complete filter and mains lead? (eSpares item ES800896). Thanks for any advice :)

Your help please .... I have an AEG washer/dryer integrated machine LAVAMAT TURBO. I started my usual wash cycle and later I went to check and noticed that with 11mins remaining the machine just stopped .... I waited for a bit just to check and nothing .... I therefore thought I'd drain the water and it started to make the usual noise for draining and then nothing and the timer went down and this continued so I reset and thought I'd spin and again the machine made the right noises the timer went down but nothing ... in either cases I also noticed that the drum did not move. There is no error code. I cleaned out the filter. I removed the clothes and thought I'd …

Hi All, I have an LG direct drive steam washing machine. It is making noises that would indicate the circulation pump is at fault. I have contacted a local repair man, who insists he can disconnect this pump, stop the noise, and save me money. I’m obviously wary of his, as surely it wouldn’t have a recirculating pump if it didn’t need it? Can anyone help me out, would disconnecting it stop th steam function from working? He said to me, do you use it? “No” and insinuated I don’t need the function anyway what should I do? I feel stuck as I know nothing about washing machines!! many thanks Ann

Recently my washing machine stopped starting, the door lock button would just flash. So after looking online I replaced the interlock mechanism which fixed the problem perfectly for a couple of weeks. But now the washing machine registers as locked and starts but the door just swings open, if I hadn't noticed it would have flooded the kitchen. I assumed the replacement interlock of dodgy so I replaced it again but to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi all. My Hoover DYN8163D8X started ok this morning on a mild wash (108 minutes). But when it got to 45 minutes to go it started flashing, then clicked and switched off. Now the machine display keeps coming back on. flashing the test screen, goes to 45 minutes and then switches off. Could this be the control board U/S? Or a simple problem ?

Hi All, Our Indesit 6125s has just failed. It currently fills but when the wash cycle starts the drum turns about 180 degrees then stops. It repeats this a couple of minutes later then just sits there with no error codes. I can drain the machine but starting from the beginning of a wash cycle produces the same symptoms with or without load. Setting to a spin cycle does not work either. Even though the machine drains I have found some sludge in the drain pipe, could this be causing the fault?

I have a Bosch Exxcel 8. If I use the "Mixed Wash" program the machine appears to wash the clothes satisfactorily but not to rinse or spin them before finishing. As a result I have to choose to rinse and spin them on a separate program. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong and what I can do about it? Many thanks.

I have Bush F841QW washing machine. It started shaking violently but only at specific parts of the cycle. I have started watching it to figure out exactly what is happening. I teach control systems to engineering students and I recognise the machine behaviour as resonance but I don’t have enough experience to identify the faulty component and will appreciate your advice. The machine turns smoothly during most parts of the cycle including the spin section. No excessive vibration or noise. However, during certain parts of the wash and rinse sections, the drum stops which is then followed by high acceleration from rest for a few seconds presumably to aide …

My AEG 64840L shows Error 40. Intensive Googling indicates door switch. I have changed the door switch and checked that the door signal is received at the PCB, an EWM2100. I found one broken wire to the main motor plug , red wire goes to pin 8, J7 on PCB. Re attached, still no go. Motor brushes are perfect. I changed the PCB. The drain pump works fine when the overflow float is raised. If I disconnect the door switch - E52 appears as a fault. I am unsure now what E40 refers to. Does anyone have the correct Error codes or have any advice?

Hi, my washing machine has become dead. The digital display comes on fine, but no functions work, just beeps. After a while it shows 'E 21' which I believe is an error code. After much googling I have found no answers. Hoping somebody here may have some solutions. Cheers

So I have recently had a new kitchen fitted which has a larger sink and therefore the waste pipe has a shallower runaway angle after the U bend. my washing machine was connected up and worked fine then stopped working which I thought was a faulty machine so replaced it as it was very old. the new one however has the same draining problem. when I disconnect the hose from the U bend it drains into a bucket no problem so the pump is working fine. the U bend has been taken off and inspected for blockages which there aren't. Why will it not drain when connected to U bend?

Hi. I'd be very grateful if anyone can offer me some advice please. My washer (BEKO WM 74155LS) has a broken wire on the motor connection block on the washer side connector. I had the motor out a long while ago and I cut the tiewrap that secured the wires but I made the silly mistake of forgetting to resecure the wires. I believe this caused the breakage due to excessive vibration. I've posted a picture of the connector. There's enough slack to trim back all the wires and make good but it's not obvious to me how I release the wires. If it's possible with this type of connector could you tell me how to do this please? If not, could I replace the connector? If so …

I have a 6 year old Lavamat 46200 (electrolux) and lately it has started making a horrible loud grinding noise and vibrations when it reaches high speed (1200 /min) spin, lasting for about 5 minutes. As soon as the speed decreases, the noise and vibrations disappear and the spin sound becomes normal again. If i set the spin cycle to 700/min then the problem doesn't happen. I've tried googling it and have found a short 2 min video depicting the exact same problem as mine: https://videa.hu/videok/tudomany-technika/aeg-lav46200-centri-1200-fordulat-centrifugazas-hiba-mosogep-gaDQJsBa4kOo2vd0 Any suggestion on how to fix it is welcome.
