I've been looking at this site for a while now and have found some of the tips very useful. As there doesn't seem to be very much mentioned about Siemens I thought I'd add a few lines. I've very recently replaced my dishwasher and fridgefreezer and my eight year old Bosch was starting to look a bit dated and tatty in comparison. (Although it was still going strong and worked perfectly well). I initially went to Comet with the intention of buying another Bosch, but was very disappointed with the quality of the Classixx range, which had plastic door catches and felt very flimsy. Hi, We recently purchased the above machine after 10 yrs of running a Bosch 2000WFF. The Bosch had developed the 'eggy smell' and we could not get rid of it, plus there was an intermittent fault regarding the pre-wash button (the light would come on for no reason and end the washing cycle, meaning we had to start again). So, as we still had some spare cash left over following the redecoration of our lounge we thought it was time to find a replacement. Looking at comments on here and from newsgroups such as 'uk.d-i-y' we decided there were 2 candidates, Miele or Siemens.
