Hotpoint Wdl540G Washer/dryer - Water Not Heating

Recommended Posts

hi

I hope someone can help.

I have a Hotpoint Washer Dryer combi WDL540G in graphite.

the water was not heating so i replaced the element. and i still have no joy.

I did a continuity test on the old element and it seems fine

I have no error codes or anythign to indicate what is wrong.

i would be greatful if someone is able to advise. i am an electrician, so i can perform technical checks if needed.

kind regards

Rav

The heater should be tested with a meter before thinking of replacing it and only be replaced if it's open circuit or down to earth but I suppose you know that now :)

There's a few people having problems with the washing machine apparently not heating but not producing an error code. All the current advice I have on the subject (including a link to someone who found a conclusion are here washing machine not heating water

If you find out what the problem is please let us know.
