Feltwell
Hi, I have a Bosch Exxcel 1600 Express washing machine, WFX3267GB/10, which is around 6 years old. Recently it's started playing up on the 30 degree Easy Care cycle. The machine keeps stopping, with the "progress bar" (the bar on the display that gradually fills in as the cycle progresses) flashing. Press the start button and the machine goes again - at first it would then run to the end of the cycle, now it stops again almost instantly. No fault codes or other symbols appear. When the machine was behaving itself, that cycle would always indicate 42 minutes when first selected - now it always indicates 35, and it's noticeable that the "time left" display changes figure when you re-start the machine. I've tried the next cycle on Easy Care, 40 degree, and it works fine. Similarly the 30 degree Cotton cycle works fine, and I ran it today empty on a 90 degree Cotton cycle as a service wash and that was fine too. I can only assume that it must be the pcb that is at fault? At the moment we're just avoiding the problem cycle and seeing if the problem appears on any others. Any advice would be gratefully received! Geoff
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted February 9, 2012 Root Admin Report Share Posted February 9, 2012 That's what I would do to be honest. Does it say anything in the instruction book about the progress bar flashing? Could it be anything to do with crease guard? Many washing machines stop full of water at the end of the cycle on certain delicate washes to prevent creasing and require a button press to finish the cycle. Need a repair or spare parts?
