Bosch Washing Machine Skips To Last Minute

Recommended Posts

I have an integrated Bosch washing machine (FXI2840GB) which starts a cycle and doesn't finish. In fact, it doesn't really do anything. It has a LCD which shows that it carries out the first two minutes of the program, but then skips to the last minute without anything happening. It does make some clicking noises that I'm familiar with from the normal operation of the machine, but that's it really. Nothing else happens. It doesn't take water in, it won't run a spin cycle. Nothing. I'd be very grateful for any help.

Thanks

Mark

Hi, thanks for your reply. The machine doesn't seem to be presenting an error code. I have tested it a few times again today and it does seem to fill, heat and drain as it should, but the drum never turns. The countdown on the lcd skips now and again - I assume in the periods when it should be turning. So, for example on a 90 deg wash, it counts down for quite a few minutes while it fills and heats the water, but misses out around 15 minutes while I guess it should be washing. The stand alone spin cycle doesn't work at all, further confirming the issue *appears* to be confined to the drum turning.

It's unusual not to get an error code unless it's an old machine but I would treat the fault as - Washing machine won't spin or drum won't go round

Okay, thanks for that. I've got an independent engineer in mind to call tomorrow. I watched the LCD all the way thru the cycle and no error code was indicated so unless there's a more sophisticated way of communicating this, I really don't think an error code was presented.

I'm really grateful for the help.
