ced64k
Hi, Yesterday we discovered your Zanussi F1225 (frontal loading) stopped before the final spin. We were able to open the door normally. The drum won't turn (even a millimeter). And the belt is broken. What could be the problem? The "drum doors" that have remained in the open position? A little object stuck in the mechanism ? How can I access to the drum on this model ? Thanks.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 3, 2012 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 3, 2012 It's seized up. If it was very noisy and rumbling before this happened it could be the drum bearings have seized up. If not something could have got into the machine like a coin, or keys or even a sock which has jammed it solid. If there is a slight movement in the drum when you try to turn it by hand from the front you may get an idea if it's something soft like an item of laundry or something solid like an obstruction.Sometimes you can find things by removing the sump hose at the bottom of the tub or even the heater (although you may not be able to get it back in if the rubber seal has swelled up too much). On many Zanussi's you split the casing to get to the back of the machine. More help - Washing machine not spinning – or drum not turning Need a repair or spare parts?
