Bosch Maxx Classic Wae2026 Taking 3 Hours

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

My Bosch maxx Classic is taking FOREVER to complete a wash which normally takes an hour and 12 min. It really does take about 3 hours. I read some where that there is an unbalance sensor that can add extra time to a wash cycle. I have tried a cycle with nothing in the machine and it still takes forever. Any ideas as the machine is only 2 years old.

Thanks

Mike

Hello Mike, yes out of balance software can add a lot of extra time to a wash cycle. If this is happening you should expect to be able to observe the washing machine sticking for lengthy periods when it drains out the water after some rinses and on the final spin. After draining out the water a washing machine should turn the drum slowly for a minute or so to distribute the laundry evenly around the drum. It shouldn't go into spin until it's happy the laundry is distributed fairly evenly otherwise it could jump around violently and cause damage.

If it drains the water and then spends several minutes either turning slowly but constantly or occasionally stopping and turning the opposite way it could be trying to balance the load or could have a faulty out of balance system. If you don't observe something like this it is likely to be something else. You would need to observe which section of the wash cycle it seems to be sticking on. If it can't balance the load after repeated attempts though most machines will either abort with an error or just finish but with wet laundry.

Other things that can slow a wash cycle down are anomalies such as taking in too much water or where a heating fault prevents it moving on but doesn't produce an error code (where it should).
