Franny
Please help me! My problem with fixing my Zanussi WDT1085 Washer Drier is still ongoing. I have removed the facia and the programme knob. When I turn the metal shaft that the programme knob is attached to (and that pokes out of the programme(?) box I can advance the programmes manually but the Timer Knob Cam Disc (orange plastic) still turns freely without advancing the programmes. Obviously it is not attached properly to the metal shaft. I've trying to remove the cam disc, to check how it is attached and possible to replace it, but can't manage it. Do you have any tips on removing this cam disc?I'm not sure which is the PCN number for my machine but here are some of the numbers inside the door.Type: P6296154Prod No: 914634051 00Thanx Franny
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted September 26, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted September 26, 2011 Hello Franny: The teeth used to break or wear down on some of these machines. If the timer shaft can be turned by pliers and clicks round ok it probably just needs a new part within the control knob assembly. I can't remember exactly how they come off but it should be possible to work it out somehow. Something must come off to allow access to the shaft. Need a repair or spare parts?
