Curious
The other day my washing machine stopped mid-programme and has refused to do anything since. The on / off switch also appears to have become jammed. I have checked the fuse and that's fine. Any ideas what can be done? Unfortunately this is very frustrating as there are clothes sitting in a pool of water in the drum and the door is still locked. Is there any way I can at least get the door open to remove the clothing?
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted May 30, 2006 Root Admin Report Share Posted May 30, 2006 If the washing machine is totally dead with no signs of life on any programme - but the fuse is OK, AND the wall socket is OK, then the most likely causes are a faulty door interlock or on / off switch. Here's how to drain the washing machine and get the door open door jammed Washing machine door won't open You need a continuity test meter to be able to diagnose the fault ideally.
