zanussi-victim
Hello, I have a nicely running Zanussi T 1023 V. It has a spinning problem. Some observations - washing works fine - pumping works fine - when it comes to spinning, the initial back-and-forth cycle works, but when it should speed up, it breaks after 5 seconds and jumps to the next program part (pump again) this happens twice, then the spinning programs terminates witghout spinning. - this does not depend on load: empty machine behaves equally, even (a cruel test with disconnected belt (i.e. no vibrartion at all) the motor speeds only for a very short time before giving up. do you have any troubleshooting hints for me? thx, Eric
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 28, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 28, 2011 It sounds like the type of problem you can't do much with as a diy repair. These symptoms can be caused by an inappropriate load ( Washing machine won’t spin just one item or very small loads ) but as you say your problem still occurs without any laundry in or on any load so it seems much more likely to be a fault on the machine. Possibly a motor fault, but it could be a pcb fault. I would get an engineer to look at it. Need a repair or spare parts? zanussi-victim
It sounds like the type of problem you can't do much with as a diy repair. I hope to get around that since for a middle-class laundry that is 9 years old, though not heavily used, this would mean "buy new one" for economical reasons. Possibly a motor fault, but it could be a pcb fault. I would get an engineer to look at it. Well the motor works ... I think the tachometry might be slightly defect and cause an "unbalanced charge" misinterpretation by the logic. Eric.

Depending on the type, a faulty motor could still run slowly but not spin Need a repair or spare parts?
