tvillikko
I have AEG Lavamat Turbo washer dryer which is only two years old. It has never been the best of machines (result quite poor etc) and now has stopped taking the fabric conditioner. I have cleaned the compartment with a brush and descaler and I have given the same treatment to the water holes inside the slot, but no improvement. Unfortunately the conditioner cannot be added manually either as even if I pause the programme, the door doesn't open during the rinse. Is there anything else I could try? I've been using Calgon regularly. Thanks for all help. There's no answer for thsi in any Troubleshootings. Tanja
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 23, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 23, 2011 I do have some general advice about fabric conditioner doesn't go into washing machine on Washerhelp's troubleshooting washing machine faults. If you need to add fabric conditioner manually as a workaround until you get the problem fixed just add it on the last rinse (or next to last rinse - not sure which is best) by pouring it into the soap dispenser drawer while it's filling on the last rinse. tvillikko
Thanks for the reply. There's no nozzle or error codes and I checked the valves with a pin and they aren't blocked. The only thing I suppose I can do is to look if water even tries to come through during rinse. If not, the problem might be inside the machine and not worth fixing. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 24, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 24, 2011 Hello Tanja: If you've eliminated the obvious and simple things then it's time to get in an engineer. Some washing machines flush the fabric conditioner in by means of a nozzle, which directs the cold water into the fabric conditioner compartment, others just have a separate solenoid for the fabric conditioner. It may only need a new water valve or the nozzle mechanism (if fitted) fixing. It's not normally a serious fault. Need a repair or spare parts?
