Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted July 16, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted July 16, 2011 If the machine has been very noisy of late, such as a deep rumbling noise on spin, then the bearings could have seized up but it might be more likely that something has jammed the drum. It could be something like a nail or coin. It's even possible for the belt to have broken and got tangled up in the drum pulley at the back. Most washing machines need a new rear half of the tub with bearings already pressed in or even a complete tub these days making it a pretty expensive repair. Unfortunately you may need to get an engineer out to find out what's caused it and if it's serious or not. Need a repair or spare parts?
