Stuart0923
Hi All,I have stripped my Hotpoint BWM129 to change the bearings that have gone and got to the final point of getting the bolt out on the flywheel but it is a torx head and it has threaded. Any ideas to get this out so that I can change the bearings? Can post a picture if it helps. Thanks in advance.RegardsStuart
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted July 11, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted July 11, 2011 With a bolt unable to be unscrewed it would normally have to be drilled out and often the thread re-cut with an appropriate tool. Very tricky and time consuming. If you mean it's sheered off leaving the shaft inside with no means of unscrewing the same apples except if the thread is still ok there are tools available that are supposed to undo screws and bolts when the head has sheered off or the head become damaged. If anything is standing proud you can sometimes hacksaw a small slot to use to undo it. Need a repair or spare parts?
