Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted July 7, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted July 7, 2011 The only Candy error codes I have for Candy that go up to 14 are for the Candy Grando Series where error 14 is listed as meaning - "Missing Water Heating: defective NTC probe and/or defective water heating element and/or wiring". If this error applies to your washing machine it seems the heater isn't working for some reason hinted at in the description. The NTC is the thermostat usually pushed inside a tube of the heater or placed in the outer tub close to the heater. It should have two wires on it. It is filled with temperature sensitive crystals which change their electrical resistance at different temperatures. They normally have a high resistance reading at room temperatures and are not easily tested without knowing the exact resistance measurements. Need a repair or spare parts?
