ian_cfc1
hi i have a bosch waa 24171 washing machine and i need to dismantle the drum! the only problem i have is it has loads of these little clips which you cant open unless you wedge the drum open with several clips. Is there a method on doing this without have to use wedges to open the drum. Any advice would be great Or is it the case of breaking the clip and just screwing it back together? Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 27, 2011 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 I'm not familiar with this specific machine but normally any clips holding the outer tub (drum) together can just be prized / levered off with a flat bladed screwdriver. More and more manufacturers are producing washing machines with sealed outer drums which cannot be stripped down though I'd always assumed they would be welded together. If it looks as if the clips cannot be removed and replaced then it could be that it's designed to be unrepairable, which is pretty outrageous and needs to be stopped. Need a repair or spare parts?
