Jay Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Hi there, I have the Beko wdix8543100 washer/dry that isn't drying clothes. I can hear the fan running when in drying mode however there is no heat generated whatsoever. I have tried replacing the entire heating box (which includes the heating element, thermostats etc) but still no joy. Next step, I was thinking of removing the control board, checking for dry joints etc and/or replacing however is there anything else I can or should check first? Just to note, in the wash cycle the water is heating fine, so it's just the dryer heat that isn't working. All thoughts and help appreciated.. Jay P.S. Do service manuals exist anywhere for these models?
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted December 30, 2024 Root Admin Posted December 30, 2024 Hi. I wouldn't replace anything else unless you can diagnose a fault. Every time I‘ve had a washer dryer not heating its always been one of the stats, or TOCs or the element. Is there a TOC not actually on the main heating element fitting? Follow the wires. Thanks so much for the response Andy, there's two TOCs on the main heating box that have been replaced, along with the element (whole heating box/unit was swapped out with element, fan, TOC's etc). I'll have another good look and follow the wires like you said but didn't see anything obvious last time. Was hoping to find a service manual or diagram to help..
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted January 1, 2025 Root Admin Posted January 1, 2025 Some dryers had an exhaust stat that monitored the temperature of the hot air being expelled from the dryer.
