Chris B Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Based in UK... Bosch Varioperfect washing machines clothes are dripping wet after cycle is complete... spin fuction has to be used to get them dry / damp... even then the time remaining ticks down towards 1 minute left and then jumps up again to 7/8... so the spin cycle takes closer to 20 minutes rather than the 13 it should... can someone suggest what the problem might be???
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted November 22, 2023 Root Admin Posted November 22, 2023 Hi. Is this happening on every load? Stuff like that can happen if the washing machine is struggling to balance the load. That usually happens if there is a small load, and especially if one or more of the items is very heavy when wet other items are lighter and less absorbent. Need a repair or spare parts? Chris B Posted November 22, 2023 Author Posted November 22, 2023 Thanks for the note. It happens on most loads, big, small and medium. Not a new machine and we have not changed how it has been used in anyway so i can't think its a user error. could it be the module needing replaced?
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted November 22, 2023 Root Admin Posted November 22, 2023 Hi Chris. It could be many things. I definitely would not consider replacing the module or main PCB. They are very expensive and you cannot return them if it doesn't fix the problem. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like a straightforward DIY problem. Need a repair or spare parts? andyr12345 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Hello @Chris B - is the drain pump working OK, can you hear it working? - Have you cleaned the drain pump filter and theres no blockage in the drainage hose from the machine? If the water isnt emptying out fully I am just thinking it might be spinning but with some water still left in the drum. also is that one of those models that spray water onto the clothes as they spin on the last part of the cycle through spinning? (I can never understand why you would want that feature as the last thing when you are trying to spin the washing dry why you would want to introduce some water onto the wash items!)
Chris B Posted November 24, 2023 Author Posted November 24, 2023 Thanks for the feedback. Pump and filter working OK - machine is always empty of water at the end of the cylce, no standing water, despite the wetness of the clothes. A new machine i think... Thanks
