constantG Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Hi, I replaced the bushes on my beko washing machine about two months ago and it's stopped working again. One of the bushes is perfectly fine and about 3cm long but the other is down to the plastic and the plastic is burnt. I probably put them in wrong but they looked ok to me. What should I do next? Cheers.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted July 1, 2022 Root Admin Posted July 1, 2022 Hi. Has the smaller brush jammed in the holder? That would explain it be g so small and all of the burning as the brush didn't extend out as it wore down and therefore started to spark. Need a repair or spare parts? constantG Posted July 1, 2022 Author Posted July 1, 2022 Hmm i'm afraid you're right. It was stuck in the sheath and wierdly, the carbon is completely split down the middle and has come apart. Whitegoodshelp 1
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted July 1, 2022 Root Admin Posted July 1, 2022 Thanks for the update. I was just going to say I think it's impossible for a brush to have worn out so quickly. Also, there are a lot of non genuine carbon brushes that aren't as good quality and wear out a lot quicker. If you try again make sure you get genuine brushes and not "to fit" or "will fit". I had to go for the cheaper option at the time but i'll go ahead and get the proper ones this time. Cheers
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted July 1, 2022 Root Admin Posted July 1, 2022 Nice one. Also, brushes are usually held captive in the holders. After fitting the need releasing, usually by be bending out a tab. Make sure you release both brushes properly. Need a repair or spare parts?
