Should all washing machines come with a built in Spirit Level?

Its just occurred to me or I think a good idea if washing  machines came as standard with a built in spirit level either an electronic one on the LED display or a physical one behind the porthole door . It is so important to get the level of the washing machine level on installation so as to make sure the washing machine is at its quietest especially when spinning and I know it will only be used in installing and then most probably not used after that but it would still be good. And if its a top notched machine with electronic LED / Dot matrix display and internet / wifi connected (or connected to the manufacturers support servers) if people phoned up support and said that their washing machine is noisy and the technical support initiated a diagnostic test on the machine remotely then they could tap into the electronic level sensor and then say 'yes we have identified the problem is you machine is not level' and then save an un-necessary callout by engineer.

Nice idea Andy, I doubt it would ever be instigated though 🙂 My favourite thought on a wish list would be for them to simply send a text message when they've done, or on error as ours is in the garage.

our new Samsung does that ... or shall I say if you have the Samsung Smart things android App on your phone it tells you when washing is complete (or rather sends a beep message from the app, I have then linked it to android shouter app that talks instead of beep, so it says "your cycle is complete" - pretty neat. Even has other messages like "detergent drawer open" and "detergent / fabric softener running out" amongst other messages of what the machine is doing (or not doing)
