AndrewB
Hi, We have a Hoover Dynamic Next DXA 68AW3/1-80 washing machine bought in 2016. In general it works fine but it regularly stops mid cycle with no fault indication the display; the only option is to turn it off at the mains and start the program again. This has been happening for at least a couple of years and the fault seems to be completely random, i.e. not on any particular cycle type or at the same place in a cycle, full load or partial load - sometimes the drum is full with water but usually empty. When it stops, rotating the control dial makes the usual little beeps so at least part of the processor is still working but the display doesn't change. I have checked the usual suspects, filter, etc. and also run the short built-in diagnostic test with an empty drum which runs to completion and doesn't show errors. Looking around the internet, I can't see any similar fault descriptions. I'm an electronic engineer with 40 years experience so know my way around a multimeter. I currently have the lid off and have taken the PCB out to check for any obvious issues like dry joints or scorched components but I don't see any! Has anyone seen a similar problem? Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted May 3, 2022 Root Admin Report Share Posted May 3, 2022 Hello Andrew. Unfortunately, these types of fault are extremely difficult to fix. You have a combination of intermittent's and lack of solid symptoms. When it stops, does the display go off or stay on? Need a repair or spare parts?
