A year after a PCB replacement fixed my previous problem with this washer (thanks again Andy!), I have a new knocking noise that has developed... initially thought it was just something in the drum but can't find anything.

I've got another video with the back off which I will upload when my google drive syncs...

Hi findon. It could be a loose drum pulley. Check this out tapping noise on spin

Thanks. I remember now for some reason they don’t do Samsung spares. Not sure why.

Best price I can find is here

Wow that’s pricy. However the cheaper ones are made of plastic. I would make sure it’s really loose before spending that or try to temporarily pack it with something to tight out up and see if it fixed it.

The ones that make the noise in my article are usually plastic. Make sure the pulley is actually moving on the shaft due to wear.

Just took the big hex bolt off and there's definitely a bit of play between the wheel and the bolt (not quite as much as in your video). I've just tightened it back up and the sound has stopped, guessing it will work free again - the bolt wasn't loose before, but maybe the extra pressure is just holding it for now?

Sounds like it. If there is wear in the pulley it may well work loose again, but at least you’ve proved what it was and it won’t be a gamble buying a new one.
