Daves8888
I have a brand new Beko WER860541W. We’ve had it for a week. Today it’s developed a ticking sound when the drum turns clockwise that i can only describe as similar to a ticking clock that speeds up and slows down as the drum turns. Oddly when it spins at fast speeds, the sound goes away. Other than the sound it works perfectly. I was just wondering if anyone could hazard a guess at what it could be and if it’s worth getting the engineer out. Thanks.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted September 20, 2021 Root Admin Report Share Posted September 20, 2021 Could it be an underwire from a bra stuck inside? That usually causes a clicking tapping sound as the drum revolves although it usually does it both ways. Need a repair or spare parts? I don’t think it will be because they get washed in a pillowcase every time but the Mrs will check. It’s weird that it goes away when it spins fast as well. I think I’ll get Beko in to make sure. It’s an improvement on the Hotpoint we had to send back that had smoke in the drum so that’s something….
