FlamingBiscuit
Hello there! I have a Brandt washing machine, ancient, analogue and, until recently, going strong. The machine started sporadiacally overfilling which I put down to overloading the machine as I had to wash a couple of small rugs. However, the issue is now persisting on every wash and every cycle. I've taken off the vacuum trap and hose and tested and there are no air leaks in these parts. Blowing into the top of the hose when the drum is full results in bubbles in the water as expected. I've also tested the pressure switch during the fill cycle by blowing gently into the lower end of the hose and it shuts off the water, no problem. I've checked in the drain at the bottom for blockages and it is clear. So long story short is that everything appears to be intact, but the overfilling is still very much there. Is there anything I'm missing or something that needs to be reset? Thanks in advance!
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 25, 2021 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 25, 2021 Strange. Does it overfill right from starting to fill, or does it fill and stop, and then keep topping up with water? Need a repair or spare parts?
