Phil9560
Hiya all.Ive got a bosch wtn85201 c9ndenser dryer with a cracked door glass.I have the replacement part but I just cannot work out how to dismantle the door. There are no visible screws and it doesnt want to seperate if i try to pry it open. And I'm wary of forcing it.Has anybody encountered this ? Thanks very much in advance.Phil.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted December 22, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted December 22, 2020 Hello Phil. These days they seem to be designed to be not taken apart. In fact some are definitely not able to be taken apart. However, if they sell the door glass separately then surely it must be able to be taken apart. The outer cover is probably pushed over the inner one and it will be a very tight fit. If there are definitely no screws anywhere you must have to prise the two parts away from each other with a very thin screwdriver. It may well not be possible to do it without causing some damage. Phil9560
Nah theres no hidden screw.Looking at the exploded diagrams I've found it looks as if needs a good twist to release it.But my best twist doesnt seem to be good enough.
