Hi guys bought a second hand maytag MWA 09149 a few weeks ago, but now we have a fault, machine lights up but wont start, it is showing no faults, so far i have checked the heater element getting 27 ohms, thermistor was giving a reading, had continuity at water valves and door interlock is locking the door, machine will not allow water in and makes a couple of clicking noises, also anyone know how to ut this model into test mode, have pressed reset no avail. thanks in advance

Hi. It could be so many different things unfortunately. If lights are on but nothing works the first thing to check though is the door and door lock - washing machine wont start

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought if the door locks then the interlock was fine. Although it could be the wiring ill remove the pcb tomorrow and have a look at that for blown capacitors. Thanks again

No the power often goes to the control panel but nothing activates the machine until the door is safely closed. So if the door lock is faulty, or the door catch isn't operating the door lock properly or there's a connection fault between the door lock and pcb the whole machine will be dead but the lights and control panel work. It only could be though, it could also be a problem with communication between control panel and pcb or the pcb etc.
