choille
Machine stopped in mid wash cycle. The fuse at the switch on the wall was blown. Replaced the entire switch but machine not coming on. No lights ziltch. I don't know if there is a fuse in the actual machine - just wiring boards. What should I do? Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted December 1, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted December 1, 2020 Hi. Fusing the electrics isn't something for DIY because you need a specialist meter to test and trace the fault (washing machine tripping electrics). There isn't a main fuse inside a washing machine. There could be inside the main PCB but that shouldn't stop the whole machine dead only stop it functioning. Lights should still come on. Make sure there isn't another fuse somewhere like on a main switch on the wall that supplies the main socket or inside an extension cable. Need a repair or spare parts? choille
Thanks for the quick response. My electrician is busy elsewhere so will pop in when he's free. The machine blew the socket on the wall but have put the plug from the machine into a socket & lights are coming on on the machine now so I'll see better in the daylight - still got the top off the machine.
