skiboy61
all flashing lights on the front so I took off the small pump attached to the floor of the machine and the impellor is spinning freely and when I put water in the machine it seems to pump out ok.I removed the sump of the machine and took out £8 in change... (£2 coin and 5 £1 coins a couple screws and a kirby grip and some rust particles, washed all this out and replaced everything. The machine starts a programme ,ie fills with water and moves on ,the drum rotates but then the flashing lights come on again, there was a small hole in part of the sump assembly but it was the internal part which fits into the bottom of the drum just below the heating element. Is the circuit Im looking at now or what ? its a hotpoint aquarius wd420 thanks
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted November 26, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted November 26, 2020 When all lights flash it's not supposed to happen. It's supposed to detect faults and display appropriate error codes. All lights flashing is not an error code, it's like it's just lost it. Possible main pcb problem but can't rule out some fault causing it. Not something you can really deal with. Too risky to gamble on replacing pcb. Need a repair or spare parts? skiboy61
further to this there are 4 lights flashing power on/off drying high heat reduce creases time saver after clearing the sump and checking the pump is electrically good I have checked all the hoses and everything is clear. when I try a rinse cycle the drum fills and turns and pumps the water out but when I try any wash cycle less than a minute into the programme and the lights come on and machine stops. It looks a fairly old machine,it still has 2 water inlets at the back. possible pcb replacement ?
