alexbartram5
My baumatic BWMI148D made a loud bang at the end of the cycle today and shifted to the side. The drum seems to be moving backwards and forwards a lot more than it should. We have opened it up and nothing seems wrong other than the drum is moving forwards and backwards a lot. There is a black foam buffer on the side and we are wondering whether the drum should have been attached to it and it’s come away. Any help appreciated! Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted November 17, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted November 17, 2020 Hello there. The drum shouldn't be attached to anything apart from suspension and possibly springs. It needs to be held centrally inside the casing and be free to move in order to absorb the motion during operation. By design there is usually little movement from front to back but you should be able to move the outer drum from front to back. In other words it should not be impossible to move it from front to back but it should spring back into position when you let go. If it is leaning to one side check the suspension legs that the outer drum is supported by. Need a repair or spare parts?
