ValeV
Hi everyone, Our washing machine is making a scrapping noise. I managed to record it. Here is the video with sound: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-2R-8WgAva9g14VQY9HiJMi4QVS9BLqk/view?usp=sharing What is weird to me, is that it's making the sound even when the drum is not turning, at 12 seconds into the video. I am wondering if I found the right guide - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNfuu2MCSpY. Do you think this is the real problem? Thanks in advance! -ValeV
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted October 19, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted October 19, 2020 Hello Vale. No, it sounds like there is something fairly light but metallic stuck inside the water pump. ValeV
I cleaned the water pump yesterday, but I didn't check the sump hose. I will double check today afternoon and report back in the evening. Thanks!
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted October 19, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted October 19, 2020 Yes it sounds light. Like a necklace chain or something. The problem with light things is they can go into the sump hose or drain hose when you try to find them. Need a repair or spare parts? ValeV
Andy you were correct, it was a small screw like object. Looks like I will have to be more accurate next time. How can I donate you some money for a beer? You saved me quite a lot of money. Whitegoodshelp (Andy)
