POB
Hello, my brand new WCG660 washing machine will not allow me to press the OK button on the programming panel. It is saying language ENGLISH UK but won’t accept OK hence I cannot move on. Is there something I am doing wrong? many thanks
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 16, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 16, 2020 Hi. I'm not sure, all i can suggest is to double check the instructions in the manual - especially if you are operating it "intuitively" in case there's some unexpected way of doing it contrary to common sense. Other than that it has to be a fault. Need a repair or spare parts? Book a Repair | Buy appliance spares (Cheapest prices guaranteed) Warning: Read this before attempting any diy repairs. Arty
I have found the same problem with our new WCG360 WCS that was delivered yesterday. My view is that it is a fault unless Miele advise different when I contact them tomorrow. Not what you want straight out of the box when you buy a premium product. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 16, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 16, 2020 Please let us know how it turns out. It seems very strange to have such a basic fault from new. Turn machine on, open door, turn power off at wall, wait 20 secs. turn power on at wall, close washing machine door. If does not work, repeat but wait for 5 mins, if not reset, then repeat and wait for 2 hours. Nothing worked, will need to send it back. Paul A
I have the same problem with my brand new WEG 365 washing machine! The screen interface is clearly defect and not what anyone should expect from such an expensive brand. I bought it from John Lewis so I intend to ask them to replace the machine and compensate me for my time in sorting this problem out
Arty
I had a family member carry out all 3 tests and it did not reset. I am repeating the 2 hour final reset procedure and in the meantime I have ordered a replacement machine from Miele with free installation for tomorrow. Miele customer services were surprised we had this fault, the machines are apparently tested at the factory. The retailer of the faulty machine is coming to collect it, but that may be a 2 weeks wait.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 18, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 18, 2020 Thanks for the update, yes it would be highly unusual for a brand new Miele to be faulty. Let us know if the new one is OK. Need a repair or spare parts? Book a Repair | Buy appliance spares (Cheapest prices guaranteed) Warning: Read this before attempting any diy repairs.
