Coin Unit Removal

Recommended Posts

I've searched hi and low for an answer to my simple question. I just recently acquired a Kenmore top load washing machine that has a coin unit attached. It has a multi wire harness that enters the washer with a plug adapter. Can I just unplug this harness and use the washer without the factory coin unit. It's a Kenmore commercial heavy nduty model # 3976321. Thanks for any help.

Hello there. I have no experience with anything like this. I'm presuming you mean it's a coin-operated washing machine? In which case I would expect unplugging the coin unit would have no effect at all. The coin unit would have to be bypassed by electrical rewiring and you would have to know which wire to connect to which.
