RobH
I had cause to remove the dispenser housing on my Miele WT945 in order to repair a crack, all went well with the repair, and so I thought with the reassembly. On testing the machine on a wash cycle it filled ok with no problems, it went through the wash cycle again no problems. Then on the first drain cycle the water poured out from the top left rear of the machine, I don't know what you might call the part in question or why the water gushed out of it, so I have added a couple of pictures. The offending part is the white cap in the second picture, the 3rd picture is the cap disconnected, there's no seal or anything just a small green ball. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted March 6, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted March 6, 2020 Is this a steam vent? Is the washing machine overfilling or is the water running into the soap dispenser restricted and flowing into the hose when it shouldn't? Need a repair or spare parts? RobH
I'm not sure what it is, but after much searching around I actually found the seal, it had fallen down inside the machine and lodged itself between another couple of parts. ON retrieving it and reasembling the parts problem solved. I felt a little stupid afterwards by not noticing it missing in the first place. Disasembling all the pipes etc. was so difficult without the correct tools that it must of dropped out with out me noticing. Still while it was all in pieces I cleaned all the pipes etc. thoroughly, so a worthwhile venture. Whitegoodshelp (Andy)
