Tom83 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I have a Bosch wvg30461gb. It locks but doesn’t start. There is no beeping or any drum or pump action after door locks. I can’t hear any relays in action either after the door locks. I’ve checked the pump and it’s not blocked and isn’t open circuit. Would I be right in assuming a pcb is at fault
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted January 31, 2020 Root Admin Posted January 31, 2020 Hello Tom. It could be, but it would be a big gamble to change it. The fact that the door locks shows there is a live and neutral to the washing machine. But the circuit is stopping somewhere. When the door lock activates it should do two things, it activates the lock, and passes power to the pcb and rest of the machine. So potentially the lack of power could be because of a fault, or connection, wiring issue related to the door lock. It's unusual though. Need a repair or spare parts? Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted January 31, 2020 Root Admin Posted January 31, 2020 Having said that, another topic here highlights a similar fault on a Beko washing machine that turned out to be just a faulty diode. Check it out, however, you really need to know what you are doing when examining the PCB. Even washing machine repairmen don't normally mess with them and none of the parts are available as spares so equivalents have to be sought Need a repair or spare parts?
