Sad Drum
My Zanussi ZWG 5145 washing machine drum seems to have dropped. After some lovely banging noises during a spin the machine stopped and flashed its lights at me in distress. I managed to drain and remove items but drum has definitely dropped about an inch at the front, back seems stable and it rocks back so maybe springs ok I think but drops dramatically when lifted at front. Is it worth fixing? And is it easy enough that I could do it? Any help would be much appreciated. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted November 6, 2019 Root Admin Report Share Posted November 6, 2019 Hello there. If the drum has dropped it is most likely to have got a broken suspension leg. One of the suspension legs may have come away from the tub or the chassis, or even one of the top tub springs that holds the outer drum central is broken or come away. Need a repair or spare parts?
