Carts232
Hi all Our 5 year old AEG washer drier has been getting louder on the dry cycle the past few weeks and today some smoke came out of the drum. I took the back off and there is lots of brown dirt but the belt looked fine. I took the belt off and spun the drum and the noise is still there so it’s not a motor issue. Could anyone give me a suggestion? The wheel seems solid on the axle and the noise sounds like something is loose in the drum. I’ve attached a video. Any help would be appreciated if just to say it’s not repairable and get a new machine. Thanks IMG_4066.MOV
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted October 24, 2019 Root Admin Report Share Posted October 24, 2019 Oh dear. The drum bearings have collapsed. It would probably need a complete new drum kit.
