TatianaM
I have read the advise above and looked through other resources to find a solution but couldn't find anything similar to my washer's problem. My Zanussi Lindo1000 started stopping about 2 -15 minutes into washing cycle, displaying 1 (I guess 1 minute before end of programme) and straight after displaying 0 and beeping (I guess end of cycle). Hence there is water in the drum it wouldn't open the door unless released by emergency release. It doesn't run any programme after switching off and on and emergency door release and emptying the drum. After some fiddling with the door, power on/off it may start and run one or two full washing cycles as normal but then it starts all over again. Please advise on what may be wrong with my machine. Many thanks.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 28, 2019 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 28, 2019 Displaying 1 minute and sticking on that is often caused by an open circuit heater although it could be something else. TatianaM
Hi Andy, it's not sticking on 1 minute it's only displaying it for a second an then goes to 0 and beeping - looks like end of programme.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 28, 2019 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 28, 2019 It could still be an open circuit heater but theoretically it should give a proper error code if it is. Might need an engineer. Need a repair or spare parts? Book a Repair | Buy appliance spares (Cheapest prices guaranteed) Warning: Read this before attempting any diy repairs. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 29, 2019 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 29, 2019 If the washing machine fills up and starts washing ok but then stops early in the wash cycle it is usually a heating problem. A washing machine normally monitors the water temperature and if it doesn’t detect a temperature rise after 10 or 15 minutes it aborts the wash. It’s not forced to be that but certainly the first suspect. Need a repair or spare parts?
