Wolvesgirl
Hi Got a Hotpoint aqualtis washing machine. Prob 8/9 years old. Has been really noisy spinning for a few weeks and last night the clothes came out soaking wet after a spin. The drum is turning but it sounds flat as if there is no power to the spin. Could anyone help at all? it is worth getting someone out to look at it or just replacing? Many thanks in advance Kelly
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted March 29, 2019 Root Admin Report Share Posted March 29, 2019 Hello Kelly. Unfortunately that's something no one can really tell you without inspecting the machine as noises could be caused by too many different things some serious some not so serious. If it's really noisy because the bearings have gone or the motor has got a problem then it's probably not worth repairing. But it could be just something like an obstruction stuck inside the pump. That would explain the noise and the fact that it's not emptying the water properly. The first thing to do is to check the pump filter Need a repair or spare parts?
